workouts to do with just dumbbells?

long story short, I need a decent workout routine using just dumbbells
it will be doing this twice a week and then once a week I'll be able to do a workout with other equipment available
any suggestions? thanks
 
What are your requirements other than 2 days of dumbells out of the week?

What is your goal? (weight loss, muscle gain, increase performance)
What stage of training are you currently? (beginner, hypertrophy, strength)
Are you looking for a full body work out 3 days a week or split?

Help us out by answering these questions. You really can't go wrong with dumbells as they are capable of working out your entire body while machines limit your "full range of motion" ability.
 
my goal right now is weight loss. I'm already pretty skinny but have some of that infamous tummy fat that I'm trying to get rid of. I've been working out before but it wasnt anything too hardcore and I've havent done much of anything in the last 2 months.
I'm looking for a full body workout with dumbbells twice a week and then I can do a full body workout once a week with a multigym-bench and a full weight set
 
Dumbbell Squats or Dumbbell Lunges
Dumbbell Deadlifts
Dumbbell Bench Press
Dumbbell Bentover Row
Dumbbell Shoulder Press
Pullups.

If you don't have a pullup bar or anything that can be used as such, you can pick one up cheap at just about any sporting goods store.
 
You can pretty much do anything that a machine or a barbell does with a dumbbell. Some stuff even better. Find a workout that you like and convert it to a dumbbell workout
