Workout and diet for a 14-year-old guy?

Hey, I'm 14 years old. male. Looking to shed some fat and tone my core in the belly and build some muscle on my upper body. I would rather use my bare hands to exercise, since I have no gym equipment and the weights I have are insignificant(6 lbs). Any suggested exercises and workout routines? I'm about 140 lbs and 5'7", I look more developed than I should be for my age, and my metabolism is far too low for a teenage boy. Any foods I should frequent or avoid? How much protein is appropriate for me? I haven't been physically active in about a year but I adapt easily and I love a challenge.

Sure, cut the grass, paint the house or wash your parents car...Oh you mean fun stuff...go for a hike, bike ride, play some hoops, anything that keeps you active. Do pushups, pull ups and crunches every day. Improvise, find something heavy like an old tire and pick it up over you head and put it back down 20 times every day.

As far as diet, focus on eating healthy foods and be sure to include protein, good fat & complex carbs at every meal. Snack on nuts, carrot sticks & fresh fruit.

The best thing for you is to just go out and be active just a Trek has suggested.

Do not worry about how much protein you need, just eat your vegetables and maintain a healthy diet.

If you would like some exercise ideas, let me know and I will send a link to you.

I recommend you investing into a good diet book. No parents will say no to pay for that :) and they will be probably interested into too because they are the cook
