Working out legs for upperbody, and the punisher!!!

Ok. I've heard some people say that working out your legs somehow increses (or gives you more potential to increase) your upperbody. Does this have any validity to it?...lol and about the punisher thing. I watched the movie and was motivated haha. Does anyone know if there's a site or anything that would have his training/workourt routine? Any advice will be appreciated!

Yeah legs have a lot of muscle fibers so if you build them you body burns more calories and makes its easier to build lean upperbody muscle. It will also make you strong when lifting some compound lifts for the upperbody. That's a few reasons i believe there's more.

Just get a good routine dude you don't need some fluff hollywood routine. Its pretty basic stuff, free weights, compound lifts with a good diet/cardio.

His training routine was absolutely crazy, it was something akin to 4 miles a day running 4 days a week. 5 days of weight lifting with crazy volume.

damn... i could probably jog 4 miles but id be so sore the next day... and as for the heavy volume... i gotta buy me some more weights...

from the book brawn

the squat not only directly affects the thighs, hip and lower back structure but has a knock-on effect throughout the body. the squat "anabolizes" the metabolism, making the whole body more likely to grow and get stronger. the squat by itself isnt going to pack inches of muscle onto your arms. however, good progress in the squat will make it far easier to push up poundages substantially in rows and bench presses. that will pack size onto your arms.

thanx for the info Abear , im guessing i need a bar and some heavy weight to do squats... ive never done them before and id realy like to know how to go about doing them because my current main concern is my arms...

the deadlift and the squat are so powerful, they nearly render every other lift a waste of time. do them until your eyeballs pop out.

this is video of it

of the main deals with squats or any exercise for that matter that is sadly not mentioned often is being able to get out from under the bar. now i have a power rack, but for years i would squat b/w saw horses.

i also got some 2X6's and cemented them in two 5 five gallon buckets. cut them to the desired height then cut a V groove into the tops of them. i was then able to get under the bar, unrack it and squat b/w the saw horses.

wasnt pretty, mom didnt care for it when i lived at home and the wife didnt care for it when we got married but i got the job done. but it dont compare to my power rack. :D
