I totally agree with you on the gym. I constantly amaze myself at how I just don't wanna go, don't feel like it, why do I hafta?! and then as soon as I'm there, I think, huh. Well, this isn't so bad afterall, and I actually really like it :) Keep up the great work :D
 
Jess393 I think if i had someone to take me to the Gym and walk me up the stair I might go everyday:)LOL
So It is THursday and I have been to the gym 3x this week already which is awesome. I am going to go today as well just have not made up my mind when. I have drill this weekend and I might have a pt test so I can count that as 1 day working out so I would have worked out 6 days this week if things go as follows.
I weighted myself inbetween eating and that was so silly of me i know but I usually weight in the morning and I forgot. I did promise to log my weight everyday. Today it said 180 pound which i Know is retention from the shrimp and brocolli teryaki I made last night plus my nuts that I ate one to many hand fulls of. I am not worried. I think that motivates me even more to go burn some of this water off.I purchased 3 cases of fruit2o water and they have been a life saver in the water department. I only have to drink a little more than 3 bottle to get my 64 ounces in but I drink maybe 5 a day plus plain water. I am so excited the weather is getting better. I have 3 months before i go back to the states and I want to be back to the old me. No more shopping for me until I hit my first goal of 169- only then can I buy and outfit. When I hit 159 I can get another one and anything after that I guess I will see how I have to bribe myself.

Nice to hear from you!! So you are ready to give up yo-yo world too??!! Just like I am.

I am back to running (ok, let's call it a jog in my case) and watching my calories.
You will be at you goal at no time.

Once I reach my goal I will be going on a shopping spree. I held off, kept my gifts card from last Christmas ('08) so I will have some money to spend!!

Looking forward to cheering each other along the way. My goal is to be back to 142-140 within the next 8 weeks!!
 
Yep Hajni I am back. I really want to get a hold of this weight loss thing.My tracker shows my short term goal. I really want to lose another 10-15 pound after that. I want to get rid of all this fat I have been carrying around.
On a positive note being in the reserves i get to take a physical fitness test every 6 months. 6 months ago I failed mine. I have never had a problems when i was active I actually was one of the over achievers who could score 290+ but yeah now I am back to trying to achieve the minimum. I passed my test and I am so happy. I knocked almost 2 minutes off of my run. I ran 19 something 2 miles compared to my 21 something last time. Use to run 16's LOL my have I slowed down.
I am retaining water because it is that TOM so I have to ignore the scale this week. I am trying to make this a good workout week!I am also avoiding all things sweet.Today is a holiday and the kids are at home so no gym for me but tomorrow I am back with full force.
 
haha, I bribe myself with shopping too :) UNLESS, of course, I find an amazing clearance sale. Then its really hard for the chubby part of me to say no to cute fat girl clothes, lol. TOM sucks; I don't know about you, but I hate hate hate going to the gym when its tom. bleh. Would much rather sit in my pajamas and watch tv, lol. Keep up the great work- you'll be back to your old running numbers in no time :)
 
Jess it is so tempting when you see those clearance items, I know it first hand. Thats why I am avoiding the stores all together. My husband gave me a H&M gift card and I am saving it!!!
I just have to remember to keep my wallet at home if I must go downtown and I should be fine.
I went to the gym this morning. I totally get a burst of energy during my TOM for some off reason. It is just so uncomfortable to spend more than a hour at the gym so I just take advantage of the burst but keep things to a minimum. I Ran 6ks on the treadmill and lift some weights. I felt so good.
Breakfast was a ciabatta with tomato and mozzarella with frischkase(hmm do not know the english word.) My lunch was a bowl of kashi cereal with almond milk. I ate a snack which was my last nut snack bar. It is only 160 calories but it triggers craving so I am glad those are gone.Not sure what dinner will be yet.I am leaning towards a nice salad and maybe some pasta.Scale read 178 but that was after working out and drinking a bottle of water. Hopefully next week I will have a nice drop in number.
 
I am the opposite during TOM. I have no energy and I have to force myself to move even to take a short walk!!
I am doing the same things with rewarding myself with clothes. I still have gift cards from two Christmas ago I never used and I am planning to this time when I reach my goal weight (notice i didn't use "if" but "when" lol)
2 miles in 19 minutes? girl that is awesome!! I think I don't run I jog... It takes me about 35 min to run/jog 3 miles... so that is like 11 min/mile.. Snail pace but works...
Keep it up, you are doing great!!! Your exercise schedule is admiring. I need to get back into mine, I have been doing stuff but a lot less intensity then I did before.
 
Hajni your on target with that pace. I rather run slower and longer than fast and less. I just feel better that way.
So I have neglected the forum and what happened I gained weight. I am suppose to be in the April Challenge and got off to a shitty start because of my TOM and now I am at 78 kilos which is 1 kilo more than when I started the challenge. It makes me feel like a loser. I have been eating too much and I guess that is my pay off. So back to calorie restriction. I have not done that in forever but its about time!
This week will be my real test. I do not own a microwave because I just do not think I need one and it make me lazy and I make bad choices and buy shit that is process beyond recognition but I think I may need one to make my meal and freeze them in portions.
I might go back to the salad for one meal everyday. I did see a good amount of loss with that method.
So off to another week. ON a good note I am noticing inches being lost its just that stubborn scale!!!
 
Just finished tae bo lower body workout. It was a bit of a challenge but I did all 45 minutes. I am going to the store to pick up some veggies. I am attempting to eat as clean as possible this week to get at least 2 pound off the scale. I am noticing the time is running away from me. I have a goal of at least 160 by JUne and I should have been there by this month if all went at planned. I am determined though. I am going to be working in another city for 2 weeks only coming home for the weekends so that should give me some time to work out more and keep things in perspective.
I want to get a full size mirror because we do not have one in the house. granted i can see most of my body a full size mirror tell me the truth all at one time.
 
Just got it from the Gym took a shower and washed my hair and I feel great! I ran for 30 minutes lift weight for 15 and attempted to ride the bike only to realize I did not sync my Ipod. I downloaded the pilot for this oh so talked about show gossip girls so I got bored and just got up after 6 minutes:)
I feel great and I am proud of myself for going to the gym even though the weather sucked!
I have not eaten anything yet. I have had about 80 calories from my protein drink. I think I am going to scramble 2 eggs with cheese and call it brunch:) I like to take advantage of those days when my appetite is not out of control because it really helps to keep my weekly calorie intake down which means I will finally lose some weight. I am still at 178 this morning:(
 
I am trying to stay on track so multiple entires will help me. I made some tuna tortilla and ate 2. I did not over eat today so hopefully the scale will be nice to me in the morning. I am going to do another 30-45 minutes workout tonight with my DH just to try to get him moving and get myself some extra calories burned off:):hurray:
 
Of course my husband folded on me. I was so excited but he is a lazy ass so not surprise.
I did do some squats and jumping jacks. I woke up this morning and went a 30 minute run, should have ran a bit longer but I plan on doing yoga tonight at the gym and really did not want to go any further.
I have been looking up info on strength training because I want to build some muscle and get things nice and tight. Might have to get a magazine and cut on the workout pics and put them in a book because they are hard to remember. My gym sucks all they train you on are those boring nautilaus machines:( We do have free weights that i usually lift so its more about learning the correct way on my own.
I was so happy to see 177 on my scale this morning. If I continue with the high activity and lower calories I should be well on my way to the 160's/Off to do some homework. OH how I hate online classes. I find something or anything to do than focus on them. This is my last semester in this school so I have to stay focused!
 
I wanted to go to Yoga tonight but there was just too much clutter in my kitchen and I had to handle it. Then that turned into iron most of my sons clothing, then onto doing laundry. I have been cleaning from about 5pm until now 10:26. I guess that could be considered a nice workout. I went to the store and bought some gloves for lifting weights and some little 5 pound dumbells. I want to start to tone up so I wanted to have some weights home for when I do not want to go to the gym I am going to buy a 10 pound and 15 to work myself up and I want one of those bars to do squats with. So onto my homework I procrastinated with all day so this is going to be an all nighter for me:(

If you don't want to spend the money on the bar, you can always take two of your weights (lighter ones at first) and hold them on your shoulders while you squat. This will add a little extra weight, and it'll be easy to up the weight as you get stronger.

Just a suggestion if you want to save a little money, or something to do until you have the money or time to get one.

Of course, you could always pick up your son and drap him around your shoulders too. ;)
 
Yesterday I went onto itunes and purchased the 30 day shred from the biggest loser lady and shape magazines bikini body workout. I did phase 1 yesterday of the 30 day shred and that shit is challenging. I was like damn but I felt great afterwards. I did a lot of walking and ate okay. I did decide to make some Thai curry and you know coconut milk is high in calories but I was like I did not over eat so it should not be an issue.
Today I did the shape bikini body and that kicked my ass! I was like wow. I am happy I looked for these online because since I am going to be away from home for 2 weeks I can do my workouts in my room since I will have my laptop no excuses right.
I am going to do the 30 day shred tonight so that will be 30 minutes shape and 20 minutes shred for 50 minutes of intense working out. I can see my body starting to change but the scale is still not being nice to me. I am at 178 again today. If i did not know better I would say it was broken or just likes that number:)

Thanks! I know myself and if I do not feel like going to the gym I will fall off and not do anything. I think having the alternative plan of working out at home keeps me in check.

That is a great idea! I think I might try it. I might not get a bar until I feel like I will use it consistently.
I can not have my kids around when I work out of it turns into a chaotic breakdown-if it was not that way I would use my son-LOL
 
I swear If I do not lose weight this week I am going to have a heart attack! I am doing some work away from home and plan only to go home on the weekends and 1 time in the week. The positives are I am not in my house all day so no need to graze. I am in a military environment so I do not want to look like a fat ass. I have a gym across the street and 3 meals a day with a salad buffet at my disposal. I get to sleep through the night and I get to relax. I am hoping all of these things put together will make these next 3 weeks a success.
Today I had breakfast which was a cheese omelet with potatoes and mixed fruits. I learned though fitday I might want to leave the potatoes out so I will.
Lunch was brussel sprouts and a salad
Snack was an apple.
Dinner spinach lasagna with a salad.Of course the lasagna was higher in calories but I had to eye the serving and may have overestimated . I came in at 1800 calories. I ran for 45 minutes on the treadmill and my tracker says i burned 488 calories so I am on to a good start.I will do the 30 day shred tonight and will start back at day one. I am so serious I even brought my weights with me. I am contemplating going to the gym 2x a day for these few weeks just to jump start the weight loss. It does not hurt to try.
 
Miss binge decided to pay me a visit last night and I knew how to avoid her but for some reason I thought I had the will power to fight her. WRONG>
So i went to the commissary with some of my associates. They had vo5 conditioner for 25 cents i was in heaven I love that stuff for co-washing:) yes i am a conditioner junkie. So I avoided all the food. I told myself I would eat on the base since it is free for me since I am working on post. We get to the chips aisle and I stood there too long. So i pick up a bag of nachos and a jar of chesse. I went back to my room, changed into my gym clothing, decided to go eat dinner first cause i did not feel to motivated. They had nothing without meat so I opted for a salad. I ate it felt fine but once i got back into my room i decided to eat some chips and i ate and ate. I ate the whole damn jar of cheese and most of the chips. I am going to throw those chips out and never go down that damn section with other people again. I am fine on my own for some reason.Long story shor the binge made me sleepy and tired so I took a nap and here I am at 4:46 am waking up:smilielol5:
Not to self not more snacks. I missed my 30 day shred and my run. I plan on hitting the gym at 6 am.
I am going to eat a bowl of oatmeal,a banana and a yogurt for breakfast.
