Won't get married until I lose weight!

Mad at Myself :(

Hi everyone,

I am upset (but trying to stay positive) because yesterday I had a fantastic day on my diet.. I ate so healthy all day, had a bomb workout, and was feeling invincible! But I ended up partying a little last night, consuming around 800 calories in bad stuff around 11pm. What a downfall!! I mean, yesterday was probably the best day I've had diet & exercise wise.. ever! And it all got ruined by too much partying in the evening.

Today is a new day and I have done quite well so far. I will have another great day today, I am just bummed that I did what I did last night. On the first day!! No more partying for me.. that's for sure.

I bombed my first couple days of dieting with eating a burger and fries out so don't feel too bad. It happens to all of us at some point. :D
So long as you're burning more than you're eating, you're on the path you want.

But today is a new day and like I said, I am doing good. Thank you for the continuous motivation. I am going to go buy a NEW scale this afternoon.. yay :) Weight update later!

I had to give up drinking when I decided to lose some weight. I get a mojito or something of the sort when I reach a certain point or I feel I've been doing really well. Rewarding myself with alcohol is a terrible thing, but considering I have a drink less than once a month, its not too bad.
Alcohol = tons of calories + tons of calories you eat from lowered inhibitions. Its a shame, 'cause I really do enjoy a Long Island Iced tea or a Crown and coke from time to time. :rolleyes:

You know, I'm pretty sure I posted on one of your threads before, but apparently THIS one is your food journal. I think you're doing great so far. I know self-control is so difficult and I really liked your 15 min rule.

It's so so difficult when you're out with friends and you have to watch what you eat- I'll be out myself tomorrow night and I've decided to go right to the salads section, or eat before I start out of the house.

Great attitude, new day, new start! Good luck! And feel free to drop by my diary whenever. :)
 
Dont worry too much bride! we all have our bad "moments" . Keep up all your wonderful work! You will be in that goregous gown in no time!
 
Food Diary & Exercise Diary, Day 2

Hi everyone! I haven't got to do much posting today because I've been soo busy. I got a new scale and its much more accurate than my other Taylor digital one. Here's my progress for today:

Breakfast:
Coffee with coffee creamer- 45 calories

Lunch:
Tuna sandwich with light mayo & lettuce on a wheat roll (Subway)- 534 calories

Dinner:
Broccoli- 78.4 calories
Ear of corn (on the cob)- 170
Fat-free strawberry/banana yogurt- 80
Small Pear- 82 calories

Propel- 30 calories

Total calorie count for the day: 1019.4

Exercise:

Elliptical- 32 minutes, 3.5 miles, 330 calories
Bike- 20 minutes, 3.5 miles, 136 calories

100 crunches, 60 lunges, and today was another hardcore arms day! I upped the crunches and lunges.. it felt good! By the end of my workout, according to my heart monitor, I burned 670 calories! Yay! Better than yesterdays work out and tonight I'm not going to get any munchies :)

Good Morning, all!

I am so sore this morning and really hungry! I am feeling tired but I will continue to work-out today. Tomorrow I have to work all day so I am wondering how I will fit in my work-out. Any tips?

Hey there,

I saw you had coffee for breakfast yesterday. I recently learned its a big no-no to have just coffee and cream for breakfast. As it turns out, the two aren't enough to stimulate/jumpstart the metabolism for the day. Its best if you give yourself something to munch on. I'd recommend a good combination of complex carbs, fats, and protein. You'll stay full and you'll fuel your body, allowing the metabolism to kick into full speed and start the day burning those calories. :D

Its a shame we can't live off coffee and cream... I'd do it if I could. I don't even like sugar in my coffee. Just a tiny bit of cream. Yum!

Hi Sunny!

The last couple of mornings I haven't had time for breakfast, so unfortunately I fall back on my lovely coffee with sugar free cream. Except this morning I did have a cup of cereal in fat free milk. Yum! I feel good this morning.. yesterday went well, too, although I didn't update. I will in another reply :)

Breakfast
Coffee with sugar-free creamer-45 calories

Lunch
Turkey sandwich on double fiber wheat bread with a tablespoon of mayo, 1 slice of cheese, lettuce- 293 calories
Quaker rice cakes- 90 calories

Dinner-
1 oz. roasted chicken with 3 oz pepper jack cheese with a teaspoon light mayo on double fiber bread, baked lays, chocolate chip cookie (I couldn't resist!)- 765 calories

Snack-
Cauliflower with light ranch dressing, Quaker rice cakes- 265 calories

2 Propels- 70 calories

Total Calories: 1528

Excercise:

Elliptical- 45 minutes, 5.25 miles, 460 calories
Bike- 10 minutes, 2.45 miles, 102 calories

100 crunches, 60 lunges, and another arms day.. I'm not totally pushing my arms to the max.. thus, three arms days in a row. But I will start taking it to that level in a week or two.. I'm trying to break myself in!

Work-out totals:
1 hour 15 mins, 7.7 miles, 723 calories burned

Soo... even though I ate more yesterday (we went out of town to my fiance's parents house.. not a reason or excuse, just saying..) I did push hard on the elliptical! I think I did okay yesterday. Could've ate less!

Don't have much updates yet.. besides breakfast! But I will get it going so later I'll just update :)

Breakfast
Coffee with sugar-free creamer- 45 calories
1 cup puffed wheat cereal with 1 cup fat-free milk-200 calories

Lunch:
Veggie delight sandwich (12") on wheat bread with 5 slices of avocado- 535
Light Lays chips- 75 calories

Calories so far today.. 855.. not too bad! Since I ate such a huge veggie sandwich for lunch I will probably just have steamed broccoli or cauliflower for dinner. Keeping it light!
