Hi!!


I decided to start a diary on my story and my journey. I was weighing 160 lbs on Jan. 16 2012 as I am charting my weight now. I don't know what got into me but I realized enough was enough, I am determined to weigh 120 like I did a few years ago. That Monday I started watching what I was eating as I was contemplating on what kind of diet plan I could get on. By Thursday of that week (Jan. 19) I was on what they call the "21 day Challenge" at My Fit Foods (a place that offers healthy meals for pick up). Anyway so far since that dreadful day when I discovered I was 160 lbs (about 10 days ago).. I have lost 7 lbs!!! Yes.. I weighed in at 153.4 this morning. The first few days I was losing a lb. a day it seemed.. then the last 3 days I was 154 so I was not too happy... today 153!.. I'm soooo happy!!!.. My clothes feels really lose. In fact my sleeping shorts slipped down off me yesterday. lol


I hate running on a treadmill but I LOVE dancing. I joined the community YMCA and while I used to go once or twice a week for zumba.. since Ive been on the 21 day Challenge I am going everyday for some kind of workout. They have all sorts of classes. I have been working out 1 or 2 hours a day!!!.. It's crazy!.. I never thought I would have the energy or urge to want to do so. I just really want to lose all this weight that has had me feeling sluggish the past few years. I'm really excited and hope I dont give up...I'm hoping I make a lifestyle change this time and that it's not just a phase.


(So I wrote this is another blogger a few weeks ago).
 
So now it's Feb. 10, 2012...my 21 day challenge ended this Wed... I had lost a total of 9 lbs!!.. Today I have started another 21 day challenge and when I weighed in this morning I discovered I have lost a total of 10 lbs in just under a month!!! Im really happy!.. I still have another 30-40 lbs to go but Im taking it 10lbs at a time!.. I find this is much more motivating when I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. My weight a month ago was 160 lbs, .. Im at 150 and hope that in one month I will be 145 -140 ! :/ I hope!.. Wish me luck!!.. Im eating My Fit Fodds' 'Fit to Go' snack as we speak which consists of one hard boiled egg, a bit of peanut buetter, 3 big apple slices, and a small vine of grapes!!,.. Cant wait for the summer!!! Congrats on the first 21 day plan! Sounds like you're on a nice roll with the exercise as well.

Thanks!!,, Im at 149 now... I went from 150 to 151 then 152 in a matter of 3 days :( .. I didnt weigh myself for 2 days.. Then this morning 149!! thank goodness!!.. I think I was just really bloated (time of the month :/). Anyhow.. Im back on it!!! It's thursday... hope to be 148 or 147 even by this Sunday!!.. Im still eating My Fit Foods (although I cheated on Valentines a bit.. I had a cupcake and skipped my healthy snack... Sorry sorry!!,, Im a teacher and there were sweets all around me). Im back though!!! I cant wait to go shopping for 3/4s!!!! Are you trying to lose weight??
 
BTW..just booked my summer vacation which includes Paris, Central America (backpacking through El Salv, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama), Argentina, Colombia and Peru. Yes... I have to be ready for the beaches in Central America anyway (will be cold in South America). AHHH!! I cant wait!.. It was so nice when my co worker pointed out to me that it was time I got new jeans bc mine no longer fit. I looked in the mirror from the back and noticed the bags my jeans were forming!.. Guy, dont give up!!.. there's a whole new you and a whole new life waiting under those pounds!.. Just take it one day at a time and dont expect results over night!.. you'll be disapointed it you do. I am now wearing my size 7 pants from a11-13 (they fit tight but they fit) lol!.. I also did something crazy!,, I bought a 3/4 size jeans! :O It is stretchy and I was able to put it on!!!!.... obviously it did not zip up or button up but it still came up!!! lol.. I figured this will be my way to measure my success since the scale is so tricky lol!.. I work out every day now,, Im sure I have some muscles building up and that's making my weight come off slowly. :/ Oh well..as long as I feel and look better!
 
So it's Friday and my cheat meal is tom.. But guess what?.. I dont want to. I was 147 a few days ago and then went up to 148.... then yesterday 147!..My short term goal for this week was to reach 145...by Sunday!!! I guess thats why I dont want to cheat. Also I am wearing these slacks which a few weeks ago were super tight!.. now they're lose!!!.. Im so motivated now!.. It really seems to prove that the lbs. are not as important! Congrats on the super progress. Agree that the fit of your clothes is a much better way to measure progress. Always nice to see and feel the difference in those items of clothing that we've all been afraid to take off the hanger...
 
Hey guys!!..Sorry I have not checked in in so long.. its been about 3 weeks. I have been so down about the fact that I could not drop under 146 lbs... I was 145 for a day then back up to 147 (spring break and all). Im glad to say I am 145 as of this morning and Im hoping tom I will be 144!!! I am not eating My Fit Foods anymore.. Im on my own and it's scary but so far so good!!.. I finally went under the 146 I could not get rid of!!.. Yesterday I even went to a new YMCA facility for a Zumba workout that seemed more intense than my usual! Also I read that in about 10 wks of excercise, the average person gains about 3.3 lbs of muscle... thats good right?.. I guess Id be 142 without the muscle?? hehhe Wish me luck!!
 
Hey, thanks for your support!!.. Yes this is true.. as a matter of fact I am wearing a button up thats very fitted and that I had not worn in a year!!.. I had tried it on about a month ago and it did not button up!! I cant wait for the summer!!
 
Hello everyone!.. Im sorry I have been absent for some time now. It's been almost 4 months since eating healthy and exercising.. I now weigh 134 lbs. It's great but I was feeling down given that I was down to 131 lbs 2 weeks ago and went up to 135 last week. I know why too... I have been eating really bad not only on the weekends but also on some weekdays!!.. I know at some point I will be able to have more than just one cheat meal a week ..you know, once I reach my target and IF I continue to exercise... BUT for now... I have to stay focused. Last night I meditated alot!!.. and Im back on!.. no more than one cheat meal a week!!.. no bread this week either... let's just try it out and see how it goes. This morning I put on my size 3 jeans and they fit!.. still snug so I dodnt wear them to work.. but they fit!!!.... Still I have 10 more lbs before I reach my goal!! I thought I wanted to weigh 115-120, but after talking to people around my height and realizing I have big hips and boobs.. plus huge calves due to the muscle I have gained doing Zumba, I realize 120-125 is more of a reasonable weight for me!.. Anyone interested in photos of me??.. I think I will most some to motivate u all. It can be done guys!!!.. please dont give up!!
 
Congrrats on your success you have done well! I have been struggling to lose 60lb for the last almost 6 years I am hoping to be as successful as you! I have to rely on clean eatin since don`t have access to a gym or a Y .....all of this to say Congrats I love seing success on here make it motivating!
 
Ahello!! Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot...and more if in any way I can be a motivation to you. I have to say most of it is in your head. You have to brainwash yourself into not eating unhealthy foods...keep telling yourself how gross and fattening it is in(even though it's not always gross lol). Try to find some type of active activity that u can commit to at least 3 times a week. I just got back from a month and a half vacation.... Thank God I walked a lot during my trip and though I ate tons of pizza, fries and alcohol, I did not gain a pound.!!! I am now back home trying to get back at zumba and eating healthy ...its not easy but Ill get there. I weight 131 lbs now. Ill try to upload pics now :) I wish you luck and don't give up!!. There's a sexy little lady waiting under it all! kisses
 
Wow, that holiday you've booked for yourself sounds absolutely amazing! I'm truly jealous! I hope you have a fabulous time and you let us all know about it! :D

Sounds like you're well on your way to your goal! It's true though.. the closer you get to it, the harder it is to drop those final lbs! It took me MONTHS to shift the last few, but I stuck to it and I'm glad I did! The confidence to wear whatever you want is a very liberating feeling! :) (I'm actually also about 131lbs now, but I'm 5'9, and have had a few people tell me not to lose anymore weight.. so I've taken that onboard, and just working on toning up now instead!)


It sounds like you've had some immense progress in a short amount of time, though, and the fact you can treat yourself (with exercise, of course!) without gaining anything significant is a brilliant thing!

Hello guys!!! Sorry I have been gone so long. I just started work back up (Im a teacher) at a new school so its been busy. My trip and two weeks as a couch potatoe at home made me go from 131 lbs to 137!! But guess what!!!??? Since work started only about 6 weeks ago!!.. I have been eating healthy and now I am at 126.4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooooo happy!!!!!!! Almost at my goal of 125 BUT I think I want to be at 120 afterall!!!!! lol.. CAn you guys show me how to upload pics on here??? I am sooo excited to share!!!!! Good luck you guys..it CAN be done and it WILL be done if u really set your mind to it!!!

OH!... my big tip this time!!.. eating SUPER LIGHT at dinner and drinking water throughout the day!! Sometimes I have the 150 calorie instant oatmeal for dinner! and thats it.. thats what has made the difference this time!
 
Hello!!! Thanks for your message!! I know you can do it!.. I never in a million years thought I wouold be wearing size 3/4 and here I am, ... pulling my 3/4 slcks up bc they are falling!.. Dont give up!!! There is a hot little woman inside there waiting to get out!!! Just focus!!.. read about it, eat it, just brainwash yourself about eating healthy and rejecting junk food!!! Try to have only 1 cheat meal a week!!.. Only water!!!.. no juices or sodas!! It works!!! Trust me exercise helps but not as much as what you are eating or not eating. I know frozen dinners are not the healthiest thing, but for starters it can help you learn to eat less and as long as you get the 300 or less calorie ones, you will lose weight. Right now I am eating ligjht yogurt for breakfast, a frozen meal at lunch, a snack like an apple, string cheese, or trail mix (very litte of it) about 2 hours later, another fruit when I get home around 4, and at dinner oatmeal!!! Lots of water when I can.. and thats it!!!! Went from 137 to 126 in about 6 weeks!!! .. Only doing zumba once a week this time around.. Ive been working late. Anyway, You can do it!!!! IF you know how to upload pics on here, let me know.. Id love to share!
