why is this happening

ok today i did a upper body workout becouse of my ankle but, that was earlier this morning and now i want to do more upper body should i.

Your muscles need rest. They may not hurt now, but if you worked hard enough they will start hurting tomorrow and the next day. Recovery is more important in the iron game than training. Train hard, rest well, eat right. Thats the recipe for success.

Your muscles grow during rest - NOT while working-out.
 
Some hardcore bodybuilders find success in day splits; personally I think it's too much. But if you're dead set on it - try push in the AM and pull in the PM.
