Hi!
So... this is my first diary post - A little about me, Who I am and my adventures thus far.
My name is Ava, I am 30 (31 in May) and I am currently 203 pounds.
I started my weight loss mission about 3 1/2 months ago after I went for my first wedding dress fitting and discovered I would need a size 22 dress and the dress that I have wanted since I became engaged... doesnt come in a 22. It would require a great amount of customization (so much that it essentially wouldn't even be the same dress) as the biggest size the dress came in from the designer was a 16. I came home in such a state that I told my fiance (who is the most understanding man in the world) that until I could fit into my dream dress... I wasn't getting married. To my amazement... he said that we would wait as long as we needed to.
That evening I went through my kitchen and our snack cupboard and bagged up all my candy, chips, and junk and called my 13 yr old cousin to come pick it up; he was more than happy to oblige lol.
Since then I have been trying my best to eat clean with about 70% raw whole foods. I exercise every other day and have lost around 30 pounds since I made the lifestyle changes.
I am currently off work due to "compassion Fatigue". I work in Addictions so... essentially I just burnt out. You see and deal with so much day to day - I just needed a break. When I started work... I weighed around 150 lbs - Between emotional eating and being constantly on the move.. I packed on almost 100 pounds due to poor eating habits and poor choices in what i was putting in my body. When you're working outreach until 1 am... you just throw any junk in your mouth to keep you going, Lol!
On my off time I am an avid Gamer. I play both PC and Console games. I am the surrogate mom to 2 amazing furry daughters - Aesa is my fiances pitty/mastiff mix and Harley-Quinn is my lunatic Jack Russell. We also have 2 cats named Onyxia and Sidious.
We live in the east coast of Canada, on the shores of the Atlantic - which is nice if you like water and a TON of crazy weather.
Anyways, Thats me in a nutshell. I hope to get to know all of you and your stories!

My husband & I are planning a trip next year & I think Canada will be it. Canadians & Australians seem so similar. I may be generalising, but we seem to share a similar sense of humour. I have lots of research to do. Golden has to be on my list as I have a niece there. Our younger son spent a lot of time there & what I have heard about Canada I like the sound of. Bears, wolves, mountains.....friendly people.
