while cutting......

Keep working out with weights (with lower intensity) and do HIIT so you don't lose muscle mass.

I agree. When lifting keep your rest between sets at least 1 minute and don't perform the reps too fast. As far as cardio goes HIIT is great but there is nothing wrong with a 45 - 60 minute run either. I do both and have had great success cutting. For example if you do cardio 4 times a week you could do 1 run and 3 HIIT sessions or 2 and 2 which is what I do.

A good way of cutting without loosing mass, is just to stop taking protien, and cutt out all carbs (atkins) But still do a simular workout. When im cutting i drop the weights by 10% and puss out super sets. give ur body a shock and u burn fat diffrently. I still dont do any cardio when im cutting. I do this for 2weeks every 2months. In fact, its the week after cutting that i notice the most muscle growth.

Good, suitable, diet is the key. If you already have a good program, no matter if it has cardio in it or not, you will eventually loose weight and build muscle at the same time. I don't know how it works for professionals, though, I guess that there they really have to do special diets and HIIT/Superset/Carsio combos to keep it extra lean and mean...

Some people will jump on my back about this, but for obvious reasons I know quite a bit about supplementation and I think it's worth mentioning :)

There are nutritional supplements you can take which prevent your body from breaking down muscle for energy. All they are is amino acids, or more specifically Branch Chain Amino Acids. These are the aminos in your muscles that the body is trying to get at for energy. By ingesting these aminos and making them available in this "predigested" form, your body won't have to break down muscle to get at these energy producing amino acids.

So go into your local independent retailer or online (PLEASE don't go to GNC!) and ask about BCAA's.

Hey, would you know whether 2700 from Universal are good? I know they are cheap, but they are not the cheapest and they are from universal and not some local Bulgarian brand. I take 6 a day, I am not big or have any muscles.
I am currently not eating anything today because I ate like 5000 calories yesterday and little of it was protein, I did have a training yesterday, but still... I now starve myself and only take my protein (100gram daily), amino and Tribulus. It's my day off the gym now, so I am not supposed to be too tired, but I do like to play a little shadow boxing and then there is my GF... You think I am eating my muscles as we speak?
