Which do YOU think is best?

Hey everyone

Im wanting to burn fat and lose muscle (groans...) but my primary aim has to be to strip fat from my ass and lower ab areas.

Would people recommend a

A> different muscle group each day + cardio workout

B> split cardio and weights days

C> a circuit system with mix of cardio and weights.

I workout mondays, tuesdays, wednesdays and fridays; thursdays and saturdays are football and occasionally i'll go to the gym on a sundays. at the moment i do either of the following on each day, alternating A,B,A,B

Biceps+Shoulders OR Triceps+ Chest
Main Abs OR Side Abs + Legs
HIIT OR 45 mins steady pace cardio

However, im not getting the ass-bustin' (!) results i want. i am getting a bit bigger but not toning up as much as i want. My diet is clean and im on protein shakes + as much protein from food as i can get together.

How can i define my routine to get better results? Always feels like im nearly there in terms of doing what i should be, but not actually being confident in it. Should i include a couple of 20 minute swimming sessions after a workout in the week?

Any help is greatly appreciated

I would do a fullbody workout M,W,F. I think the swimming after your workouts is a good idea. I'd do some morning cardio and Tues you can pull a HIIT session or take it off.

Orrr...depending on your schedule, you can always pull a cardio session in the AM which is a combination of HIIT and the slow-n-steady and then weight train in the evening. If I did something like this, I would do perhaps 10 minutes of 30 sec all out and 30 sec fast jog, then spend the next 15 minutes doing a moderate speed jog.

Hiit?????

Can somebody explain to me what a "HIIT" Session is? I see it all over this site as of late and don't have any idea what it stands for. So someboby please give me a full breakdown. Thank you very much!
