Where I'm at

Been bulking for about 3 or 4 months.
Started out at 145, and am currently 166lbs. I was going to go straight to 175, but I'm confused on whether to start clean-bulking now, or get to the kill with cutting.

Based on these pics, what would you guess my Body Fat % is?
I took a number of them, showing from 15.6 to 27.2, the one that sounded best to me was the Navy's system which put me at 21.4%
(I nearly cracked up laughing on the 15% one :p )

Now since I started out at 145 at 17% body fat, and saying I'm now 166 at 21% body fat, thats a 21lb. increase at 4% BF increase...would mean...I gained 11lbs. of fat and 10lbs. of muscle. Wow, that sounds pretty pathetic. That's why I'm confused...

Ok based on that information I have 34lbs. of body fat.
I'm OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS, so PLEASE help out! Clean Bulk now? Cut now?

This is from an old post of mine...

"I was really hoping this this thread would STOP people using the term 'clean bulking'

People are getting confused about what it means, I dont believe people should be using this term anyway.

Some people are using it to say that they are only eatting healthy foods.
Well thats just bulking and eatting healthy. So I should be called 'Healthy Bulking'

Others are using it to suggest that they are trying to add muscle but without fat - Well this would just be bulking very slowly. Yes its possible to bulk without adding fat, But it will take longer."

Then leave, but I distictly remember several of us telling you exactly that you're putting on too much fat. If you wanna hate someone, hate yourself for not listening.

You're definately not lean at all, the percentage I don't know for sure. Might be 21, but it's hard to tell from the pictures. You also lack muscle size all around. I'd stop whatever the **** you're doing now and get a real workout plan.

ouch on all accounts. yes, you are gaining too much fat. but just b/c you didn't listen to them ahead of time doesn't mean you can't start now. sit down and re-evaluate your goals...is what you are doing accomplishing them? if you say yes, then forget what everyone else says. if you say no, which i'm thinking you will, then you need to re-work this original plan to get to where you want to be.

don't take ppl too seriously and use your head.
good luck and remember to ask questions

btw. nice swords :)

wow, i dont know if theres a "past" before this thread or something? No need to get so angry.

You gotta reevaluate your goals. Do you want to loose the fat you have gained in your bulk? or do you want to continue bulking? which, nomatter "clean" bulk or not.. will not make you any leaner.

If you gained about 50/50 lean mass/fat then you were probobly eating too much. I dont remember quite, but is the recommended weight gain per week for bulking 0.5 kilos, or was it more like 0.25?
anyways, the point is, if you gain sevral kilos a week, theres no way all of it is muscle.

Thank you for your replies guys, the reason I was getting soo ticked off was to see a guy that was in near-perfect shape get 12+ suggestions, and me who's just starting out get one that was just correcting my grammar.

sometimes it just takes some time to reply :)
anyways, like i said. Its really up to you what you want. Personally, i would cut down and then eventually start to bulk again but do it a bit slower so i dident gain so much fat.
So, have you made a decition. what are you planning to do?

Thats basically what I'm going to do.
Really took into account Potential's and your's posts.
Going to cut now, and do a "healthy" bulk when I'm at a lower, more managable bodyfat.
Now that I have a break from school & work I think it'll be a lot easier.

I would say the same as Karky, maybe cut down for a while and bulk MORE SLOWLY and more carefully, it shouldn't be all that hard to start now and dedicate hard.
