What to eat....

hmmmm after jogging for 30-40 min... or HIIT...

what do you guys usually snack on?

trying to lose body fat here!
 
Oatmeal and eggs.
Brown rice and trimmed beef.

Basically low GI carbs and protein.

However, I sometimes have one of my meal replacement shakes of yogurt, skim milk, low fat cottage cheese, nat pb, hot chocolate mix and a 1/2scp casein.
 
if i were you, EAT ONLY EGG WHITES << not the yolks and there are 3 g of protein i believe in ever egg white as well as 34 calories or so.

i'd stay away from white rice, as it signals your body to store fat.
basically what you should beating after a successful HIIT cardio training, if u haven't eaten a meal, eat a healthy whole wheat sandwich with fresh meat, filled with proteins/fibers , and also take fish oils supplements
 
After my morning run (which I do fasted) I eat oatmeal and egg whites. For my before-bed run I eat either cottage cheese or yogurt.

if i were you, just drink a glass of *non fat milk* instead of eating cheese ;P
 
Why not consume the cottage cheese before bed? The casein protein is ideal for your last meal of the day.. (slow digesting)

fine, go eat cheese :p but i'd stay away from cheese that are high in fat.
 
Well.. Low fat cottage cheese is pretty healthy. I cannot recal exactly how much the one I bought was, but it was low carbs and high in protein.
 
Yeah, I eat 1% cottage cheese. I actually love cottage cheese and have a hard time keeping it on hand. So when I do run out, I'll usually eat some yogurt and drink a glass of skim milk. Not the greatest for the end of the day, but milk alone doesn't do it for me, nor does yogurt alone.
 
Since I'm still losing weight, I prefer to eat my food rather than drink it. Besides, whey protein digests fairly quickly, and any other kind of shake after a run and before bed seems a little superfluous. The only thing wrong with yogurt and milk is that they contain simple carbohydrates, but since running is the last thing I do before sleeping I don’t think they hurt me too much. Fortunately it is not a problem too often; just for the one day a week I run out of cottage cheese.

yolk has high cholesterol... can cause high blood pressure... etc

egg whites = peeled from hard boiled eggs are the best, 0 fat / 3 g of protein / 34 calories

White rice ppwo is 100% fine. And real cheese is 100% fine whether cutting or bulking. It's all about macro timing/seperation in this game.
