what the best thing to do after u eat a big meal and bloat yourself

what the best thing to do after u eat a big meal and bloat yourself should you lie down or exercise or sit down or what ?
 
Do something non strenous, to allow the meal to be properly digested. If you lay down for god sake don't go to sleep, that's the worst thing to do straight after a big meal.
 
actually bryn is right on this one, sit down and relax. when you do this your body's parasympathic system kicks in and your digestion speeds up, if you sleep everything slows right down. if you stay active and run around your sympathic system is in the lead and that slows down digestion and speed up everything else. think of it this way- sympathic-fight or flight; parasympathic-rest and digest.

lol i guess i'm too technical its just the best way i can explain it. oopss sorry guys. its true though its how the body works and you can't change it. so sit back and relax for a while after you eat and your bod will start digesting faster. like i said bryn is right.. :)
 
peppermint tea. This is so great for your stomach. I drink it all day (I have IBS). I promise it will make you feel better. Make it strong!
 
I stick with green tea...or anything else containing caffeine.
And then sit really really still for quite a time concentrating on the digestive system.
