Hey all. First time poster. My problem is this:
I am a senior in college graduating this may. I am then going on to OCS to become an officer in the Navy and then on to flight training. My main concern right now (besides school) is physical fitness. I complete a physical fitness test twice a year (as part of my active duty obligations). I am in relatively good shape but with finals last semester I gained probably 15 pounds or so. I am probably about 160-165 and 15% body fat right now. My main goal is to increase my overall core strength and resilience so that my training this summer wont be delayed by unexpected injuries or extreme difficulties.
Should I hire a personal trainer or should I be vigilant with my own training program in my university gym? What is the cost per hour for a relatively inexpensive qualified trainer and how many sessions would you do weekly? For my own personal pleasure, I would ultimately like to be 175 at 9% body fat or less. For this summer I just want to be down to about 10% body fat or less and strong and flexible.
So what should I do?
