what is heaven like

I don't understand the entire idea of some "perfect" afterlife. I just don't see a purpose to living eternally in some "perfect heaven, or whatever ever you wish to call it. Perfection is what we all seek in this existence. Once that's achieved then why continue to exist? If there is no challenge, no strive to better one self, no need,care, or worry, then there is no need to be. A life as such sounds boring and UNfulfilling.

If heaven existed there wouldn't be time as that only exists within the physical laws of our universe, we would just be. A bit like Lei said, we would probably become part of a greater single entity.

Then again, heaven doesn't exist and neither does God, so there :p

I've always found those situations interesting. For instance, the people who had been atheist, died, experienced hell, then drastically changed their outlook after they came back. Or those who experienced heaven, etc.

:yelrotflmao: Brilliant, you've made my day!

Sometimes over-analize can canabalize or obscure the bottom-line, and sometimes one needs to be on the dime and not over-analize all the time.

Remember a Statement I made in a thread a while back: (as it pertains to what we all share in common--diet and exercise)

TO show how one can change a quote to make it fit certain situations:

What is heaven? (written by Chillen)

There is a heaven (your head and body):

One walks in their...Heaven...everyday.

Its you and the body.

And, everytime you continue your diet and exercise, you take one pill out of the heaven toward your goal.

Yes, there is a heaven. Its you. And, you walk within it everyday.

Chillen

An opposite Thought:

There is a HELL

One walks in this HELL......everyday.

Everytime you make an excuse to not exercise (when scheduled) or inappropriately cheat on the diet, you take one pill from this HELL against your goal

Yes, there is a HELL, and you walk in this everyday you make an inappropriate choice when dealing with the natural human impulses of the body.

Answer: Be Heaven.

And, we can be the doctors of our heaven:

The best doctors in the world are "Personal Doctors": (written by Chillen)

Doctor Diet:, no quite-riot to the diet;

Doctor Trainer: the no-brainer and the painter of the muscle-gainer;

Doctor Fat: goes at-bat to combat fat to make the stomach flat;

Doctor calorie: the internal art-gallery to attend the external shooting-gallery;

Doctor Inspiration: sets the foundation sensation to end frustration;

Doctor motivation: creation plantation to end temptation and bring mental vibration;

Doctor Mind: designed and combined not to be confined to get behind and maligned to the self-kind.

Doctor Willpower: Devour the control-tower and empower the super-power.

Matt, when you die, you decompose. Your atoms go into the soil, some plants grow from that soil, some animal eats that plant, and so on.

The arguments of some scientists stating that certain brain activity can stimulate memories of loved ones, the tunnel effect w/ the bright light and so on, can explain a lot in terms of near death experiences. However, I'm not sure how that can explain those who are completely dead with no brain activity to stimulate those things. I guess that would be why even within the scientific community there are conflicting beliefs.

I only think there would be conflict becuase of the views of christion scientists verse non christian scientists.

And, if the person died with no brain activity seen, then they would obviously have it start activity again before coming back to life, and that could be how those things are simulated.

Chillen makes me want to hurt myself.

Like mama like son, Agreed...
