What To Avoid

"If you want to get faster I don't recommend that you go on a bulking or cutting diet. You should stay on a maintenance diet so your body has everything it needs to perform. Remember to keep your diet clean also, if not you're not getting anywhere. You should also avoid long cardio sessions as they don't make you any faster and only will make you lose valuable muscles. You don't want to jog either, if you want to run, then sprint! "

Wouldn't it make since to go on a cutting diet so you can burn fat and have less weight to haul while your running?

It depends. If I'm skinny to begin with and add muscle (I'm gaining weight) then I should be faster if I train right. If I'm fat, then yes...drop some fat.

you need to find that sweet spot where you are at your lightest but at your strongest too...onxce you find that than you can get to that level and increase speed rom there...like boxers who go down a wt division but get too weak from being too light and are no good
