What are your biggest No No's?

i`ve tried to find healthier alternatives, rather than give up certain foods completely. but saying that there are certain foods once i start i cant stop and have to be eliminated:- dorritos(large packet) especially the original or spicy with full fat creamy garlic dip: pizza hut deep pan pizzas:100% scotch beef burgers with jalapeno peppers and cheese(from my local supermarket):decent fried fish and chips from a "chippy".
instead i have low fat hummous, healthy crispbread, baked crisps etc. i also have to limit my bread intake(no butter or margerine) as once i start... slim
ps, has anyone found that if they walk past a fast food shop now the smells of fried chicken, burgers etc turns their stomach, kfc are the worst in my opinion

I agree!! Fast food joints just smell like body odor to me know...especially Burger King.

*blech*

I would have ordered the sandals too curvie girlie!! I agree about the smells too. Yucky:eek: I think that a chicken place definitely smells the worst but the smell of a Subway when they are baking bread MMMMM!!! Heaven!!

all sodas, super processed foods (deli meats and cheeses, things with msg etc), and fried food. I have even stopped eating white rice (now eating brown rice) which has been very difficult because I am of Japanese descent and you all know how we love the sushi!

No soda.
No McChicken sandwiches.
No mashed potatoes and gravy.
No biscuits and gravy.
No mexican food.

The first two, hopefully forever. The other three, until I can learn some really good portion control!

food

I come from a huge southern family and we like just about everything edible coated in gravy.....ohhh...that delicious smell of fried chicken and the gravy you make with the left over breading in the grease and homemade buttermilk biscuits....yummy! My grandmother raised me...I was very spoiled what can I say? Except that I haven't had any of that in over 5 months now....there's so much artery clogging "crap" in that it's rediculous! It's grilled chicken now with a gravy boat nowhere to be found! Ohh....well let the rest of my family pig-out on that I'll stick to my diet and keep losing weight! Inspirational bikini here I come!

I don't entirely disallow myself anything, but I find that greasy food is becoming quite disgusting - I can feel the grease on my teeth, my stomach complains.

The closest thing to a complete no-no is sugar, but I have a bit every now and then (and really enjoy it). I find that when I see sugary treats, I think about how much other food I could have for the same calorie hit, and also how much walking it would take to get rid of it.

"Some biscuits? Mmm, looks good... but I'd have to walk for an hour to balance out the calories". That tends to put me off the idea pretty quickly.

I have given up all meat and that eliminated my craving for buger king or mac donalds easily. It just happend from one day to the next and I really dont miss it.
I need to give up sweets which is my biggest problem!!!
I too can not just eat one candy bar i have to eat all if they are in the house with me.
Also bread here is german is so good but oh so fattening!

I gave up my ice cram almost a year ago. I mean I still eat it now and then but not like I was doing. I gave up soda about a year ago too and that one really didn't bother me. If I drink one now it usually makes me sick before I have even half a can. My new thing to give up is the candy bars. This one should be just fine until Halloween. With 5 kids in the house that is alot of candy lying around calling my name!! If I can make it through Halloween then I think I will try and give up potato chips:eek: That one will be the hardest I think because heaven knows I love my potato chips and dip!!!

God I loved little chocolate covered donuts. I see them in the store and want the cry. They are my favorite sweet, but I haven't had any since I started dieting.

I used to eat macaroni and cheese at least twice a week, now I don't touch it.

Biggest thing for me isn't food, it's Pepsi. I hadn't gone a day without a regular soda in far longer than I can even remember. Now I don't drink it at all. I can hardly believe how easy it was to give up.

I randomly gave up soda. I was planning on it, but it just happened and I realized how much more energy you actually have when you don't drink it.

I also would probably never eat fast food besides Subway or Quiznos, maybe just side nachos from Taco Bell or possibly curly fries from Jack in the Box. everything else - especially meat, seems wayyy too disgusting! (I've read and seen "Fast Food Nation." blech!)

Tatter tots and French fries are the hardest thing for me to give up. Soda was probably the easiest: every now and again I'll have a diet soda but nowadays it just tastes nasty to me. Cookies, cakes and brownies have been realll easy to give up as well.

Nothing really. I have allowed myself a bit of everyting I used to have...however some thing I have no desire for anymore. Like fast food. Just doesnt seem worth it anymore :) I never really ate anything awful, like snack cakes or ice cream or fried food. I would just go WAY overboard on meals. Portion is key :)
