What are you "Thankful For" at Thanksgiving 2008?

I used to teach in a HeadStart Program and every year we used to ask each of our pre-schoolers what they were thankful for. We would write the comment down and send it home on an example of the child's art.
In the spirit of honoring the child in each of us and to put us all in the frame of thankfulness and gratitude, I ask that you please post what you are grateful for. No one will judge you and if you say you are thankful for fatfree cream cheese.... I am sure there are others who also feel that same feeling.

I am thankful to have found a place where I feel supported in the struggle.
And I am thankful for my new friends.:hurray:

I'm thankful we don't have Thanksgiving as it's too early for me to be thinking about dodging feasts :D

But I'm thankful I'll be starting 2009 with a different body, a different weight, and a different mind. And I'm thankful for all my friends and family, and all the support they've given me.

I'm thankful to have finished my PHD and found a nice place to reside and work.

Also thankful for my two kids, Jay and Kaira who will be turning 2 day after Thanks Giving.

:iagree:Pretty much took the words out of my mouth.....I want them back!!! ;)

I am thankful for my wonderful son (and baby son on the way), my husband, my family, my friends, my home, life, ability to exercise, and all those other wonderful things in my life:) and heck yeah sugar free jello pudding!!! lol

Well, i'm gonna say that I am thankful for those everyday things that most dont think about...like meals..no one in my family ever goes hungry...clothes, blankets and a warm place to live...things that like

We don't have Thanksgiving either, so usually I don't think about stuff like that....just take things as they are.

But....hmmm...what am I thankful for?

In random order.....

- Roof over my head, food on the table
- The time I got to share with people I loved before they passed away
- This forum and all the people who helped me get as far as I managed to get
- All the bad stuff that happened in my life, because without that, I wouldn't be strong enough to cope at the moment
- My mom, because she's the best!!!
- Music (keeps me sane)
- My cats
- My friends (even though I don't see them very often)

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! I just wanted to take the opportunity to say that I am thankful for all the support I am getting here. This place is a Godsend and I don't think I'd be able to continue on my journey without it. Thank you!
