What are some cheap *fat-loss* foods

I joined the gym yesterday and today...was reading a lot about fat loss on this forum. I have a good excersize plan, but I dont know what specific foods I should eat. I dont really want these foods to be expensive though...so what are some cheap foods that I could use for protien, carbs, and fats?

I need a 2000 calorie intake to lose 1lb/week, so I think eating 4 meals of 500 calories or 5 meals of 400 would do the job?

The best thing you can do (if possible) is buy in bulk your chicken, eggs, egg whites, fish/pouch tuna, frozen veggies, frozen fruit, oatmeal and brown rice. Great way to save some dough. After that just get some fresh veggies as needed and maybe some extra types of lean meat and there you go. Eating healthy is really cheap, the only time it starts to get a little more costly is when you go the organic route.

LV's list is a good one.

If you get any convenience foods, choosing the healthier ones are going to be more expensive. Cereal, for example, will cost more for a small box of meusli or Kashi, then for a big ol' box of generic fruit loops.
