Well, I freaking did it... 7 stone, GONE!!!

I stepped on the scales today and saw the number that I've been waiting to see for nearly a year: 11.5 stone.

Last May I weighed-in at nearly 18.5 stone. Desperately unhappy about my weight I decided to invest in an exercise bike. That was the wisest investment I ever made!

For about two days out of three since then I've done a vigorous 45 minute workout and been careful about total calorie intake. It's paid-off.

I'm so happy. :hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray:

I'd like to thank all the people on this forum who've been so helpful and supportive! :cheers2:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats fantastic, you must be soooo proud!!! What an inspiration to me as i have pretty similar goals and have a longggg way to go!

Well done!!!:hurray::hurray::hurray:

:party:

Thanks tinkerbella. :)

Don't worry, you'll get there! Just make sure you only weigh yourself once a week. It goes quicker that way.

Well done!!!

what are you goingto do to celebrate?
I went out and got horribly drunk last night. :cheers2:

congratulations....if you had just one piece of advice to give what would it be. what helped you the most? Awesome job.
Force yourself to do your daily exercise, even if you really don't feel like it. You always feel much better afterwards and are generally glad you did it. I found that watching TV whilst on the exercise bike helped the time go really quickly. 'Cops' was a favorite of mine. :D

that's wonderful... :)
So, umm - aside from breaking all the hearts in the UK - what's next?
LOL! :rotflmao: Build up some muscle, which I've already started doing. I'm such a pencil-neck now I've lost the weight.

Congrats! 7 stone works out to how many pounds? Is a stone 14 pounds?
Yes, there's 14 pounds in a stone. I lost a total of 98lbs. That's 38% of my overall bodyweight.

It's not all over yet though. I've still got some problem areas such as my love handles and manboobs + all the loose skin and stretch marks, which fortunately aren't too bad. Still, surgery might be needed at some stage. It just feels good to have reached my target of 11.5 stone. :hurray:

98 pounds! That is truly remarkable. What an accomplishment. Hopefully some of the skin will tighten up for ya....I hear it takes a year or two. I'm hoping for some natural tightening up myself. :)

It appears to be naturally tightening already. Having said that, I've still got some weightloss to go before all the fat has gone.

Congrats, man. I'm about 5'11 as well and nearing some of my goals. I don't really have any loose skin problems as I didn't have to come nearly as far as you did, but I am dealing with the "...wait a minute, I'm skinny"-syndrome. I'm probably about the opposite of you, I have a lot of upper body muscle and basically zero lower body muscle. I'm still going to try to lose about 6-9 more pounds to get down to single digit body fat before I start trying to build muscle. The last few pounds are so hard to lose.

It's amazing how much something like this changes your life. Partly, it's sad that people are so vain because I've noticed a marked change in how people treat me- especially the opposite sex. I can't say I'm any less vain I guess. For the first time (ever) in my life, I had a group of girls whistle at me while I was getting out of my car and yell a few flattering comments. Unbelievable. They wouldn't have blinked last year. Good luck with the weight lifting & enjoy your new body.

WOW!! Well Done! That's simply amazing, and a great inspiration to those of us who are just beginning our weight loss journey.. Like me for instance lol!
Congratulations, for real mate thats a great acomplishment! :)
