Weights while cutting.

Hey,

Long story short Im just under 6ft tall male. Went from 255lbs to 160lbs. I gained back 15 (i like to think muscle but theres fat too) and I want to be a lean person, no desire to be huge. I have extra skin that is made worse by my extra fat and I want to cut again for a few lbs.

The one thing I never know about is lifting while losing. WHen I lost all my weight I lifted all the time, but I dunno if that made me worse than I am now. Should I lift weights when I cut this time?

and specifically, you wanna lift HEAVY. none of this 'light weight and super high reps' crap you may have heard about in the past.
I mean heavy, like 80% or more of your maximum lift, 4-6 reps on most days, but never really exceeding 8 reps for upper body, and 10-12 reps for squats.
