Weights for at home tune-up between spa visits

Hi,

I have a membership to Bally Fitness and they have a nice range of equipment but I was wondering what might be a good set-up to have at home to be able to run through a half hour of one thing or another between spa visits. Budget wise anything up to $500 would be doable. Off the top of my head I would think a curl bar and bench would be good to include. I have a bit of room in the garage so I do not think space should be a problem. The only other consideration is to have as much variety as possible to keep the interest level up.

There is the possibility of getting more for the money waiting and buying seperate pieces used.

Right now I am 45, 200 lbs and 6' 1"

Thanks for the input.

Steve

Im sure you paid $500+ for the gym membership, why would you also want to get some home equipment? I'd say just keep going to the gym, or spa if you wanna call it.

Dumbells and a bench would be great though.
