Weight Watchers

Hiya, nice to meet you....well....Ive lost 3 pounds today!!!!!!!...so Im dead pleased...I cant believe that you can eat so much on W.W..its great!!! Have you got any usefull advice or tips that you could give me?? How long have you been doing W.W for?? keep in touch...love Mandie xx

Congratulations Mandie! I'm doing good this week too. I joined WW in the middle of August, and have lost 27 lbs since then. I love the program, because I can leave in the odd treat here and there :D

No tips I can think of yet, but if you have any questions, just ask! I belong online, so I'm on the message board there all the time, looking for advice and recipes. :)

Hi, I lost 55 pounds on WW a few years ago, tho I managed to gain it back (and then some) so I'm using the point system on my own and I'm hoping to get the support here.

Good luck, it does work.

Count me in. I had 18 points today. I think I can have like 22 to 29 right now, but I'm a late nighter so I leave points just in case I get hungry.

Hey Tina! Glad to see you join WW! I joined them in August, shortly after I joined this site. I've lost almost 30 lbs so far!

I currently get 22 points a day, which I always go over a little. I just went down from 24 once I passed the 175 lb mark. :)

points user

Hi, i'm new to this forum but am going to try using weight watchers point system on my own and with support from here! I borrowed the points book and slider from a friend this summer, but so far haven't been able to stick with it. I need some help!! I have absolutely no willpower and addiction to high fat foods!!!

Just made a new batch of mushrooms, good side dish with my boca burgers and I bought a new cereal with 8 grams of fiber for the morning. I haven't been to the gym in over a week, but I will get back after the holidays.

One thing bothering me is even though I have lost inches, I really haven't lost the pounds I feel I should. I guess I have to start walking more.

Hope everyone had a happy holiday.:)

had a good day

Well, so far today i've done good, well maybe a little too good. I still have another 7 - 11 points to use up today. I was so busy I forgot to stop to eat - totally unusual for me! Anyways, I think I read that you have to eat a minimum of 20 points per day so now I guess I have to go find something healthy to eat even though I really don't feel like it. Well, that's not true, I could eat (always!), but it isn't the healthy food I want! My major downfall in life!! Anyways, hope all had a great day!

WW is a G-R-E-A-T program

Just for everyone who hasn't tried weight watchers yet... DO it. Although I have fallen off the bandwagon (I gained 10 of the 15 lbs I lost), this program allowed me to eat as I pleased. I'm planning on starting the program again (22 points for me!) seeing that the holidays really screwed me over. I would recommend going to the meetings rather than registering for WW on the web. Going every week to get weighed acted as a motivator. I imagine if I was doing WW by the web I would cheat much more and use that infamous excuse "I'll just weigh myself next week".

Happy dieting!

I belong online, and do my own weigh in. I agree, most people need the motivator of having someone else "officially" do it for them, but for me, this works. :)

I am in the same boat, I lost 40 lbs on WW points system just over a year ago, my wife and I had our first daughter in September '05. I have been off the diet since then and I can feel the pounds creeping their way back on. i have decided to do the ww diet again since it worked so good the first time.

Lots of water and baby carrots all the time. Kept me full and lost the weight, fast and healthy. Threw in riding my bike during the warm month or two we have.

I am just starting the point system. Actually, I began it somewhat today. It seems kind of confusing at first, but I am trying to understand it more. I am not sure, though, which system I like more - the points or the other one. Any suggestions?

Nikki

i joined on tuesday and i love it i have been in the past and know it works. I am doing the meetings this time round though.

We don't have a WW group anywhere around here, which is why I belong online.

I have never looked into Core, because I don't like enough healthy food (bad, I know). With the points, I can eat what I want as long as I watch my portions and balance everything out.

Craving tips!!

Hey.. I got some craving killers..
Before eating.....

1. Take a cold shower
2. eat ice
3. sleep without sheets on you
4. drink a glass of ice cold water before eating
5. when you suddenly have a craving, wait 15 min.. it will usually go way
6. exercise, the craving WILL go away

That's all I can remember.. anyone know any others?

i had a loss of 2kgs last week but this week i too have struggled well done octavious thats a great loss. I weigh in tomorrow and im nervous.

thanks for the kind words

this week is a struggle. I actually drove into a fast food drive up and then drove past

i almost went over into the abyss.

last weigh-in was good so i am glad i did not blow it.

i am down 22.8 pounds in three weeks-- i think that is 10.3 Kg

WW Works!!

I lost 86 pounds on weight watchers two years ago..I did the points program and I loved it!! The core program didn't seem to make much sense--it's hard for people to stop eating when they are full--if there is food left to eat most people will eat until it is gone...with the points I knew once I got to 26 points, that was that, I was done for the day...but even though you can eat pretty much whatever you want, you still have to make the right choices by choosing healthy things to spend your points on..not that you can't treat yourself, but be careful with it...good luck to everyone!!
