Weight Trainning = Cardio?

hey guys, i find that when i do weights, my heart rate increases, and sometimes even out of breath after a set (im not unfit or anythin) , what im asking is.... if heart rate is increased, doesnt my weight session also kinda in a small way do cardio?

Yes, it can be looked at in that aspect.
 
Well, not really.

If its fat loss your after then it would be better to keep your heart rate at a steady low intensity range somewhere around 65-75% of your max HR.
This is hard to achieve while weight training unless your running around the gym from machine to machine at a consistent pace to keep your HR at that target range.
 
seen as were talkin bout HR, how does a HR of 65 - 75 burn more fat then a HR of 75 - 85, whenever i do a high intensity workout my HR is like 190 (unless the machine is lying) so, how important is keeping HR in range? PS im 20 years old 80kg and 5.11
 
Keeping your HR within the 65-75% range will help burm more fat calories and also spare that hard earned muscle you have worked to get.

As long as your diet is in check.......
