Weight training to burn fat.

Ok. Sure aerobics is good and weight lifting is good and they both help.

BUT, when one goes to gym with one thing in mind - to drop fat, what should he do -
go to stairmaster for 1 hour OR to bench press etc.???
 
IMHO bench press is the most over used worthless exercise there is. I don't care what your sport is. Only thing bench is good for is bodybuilding.
If you go to the gym, do a light warm up on a bike or treadmill 5-10min low intensity. Then do a resistance circuit 30-45min. Then do your cardio 30-45min. 3-6 days a week. Stretch after cardio.

doing no strength training will have you looking like that dude on the subway commercials. not impressive, IMO

also 1 hour of aerobic isnt the best way to. take that hour an hit the weights and then squeeze in 10-15 minutes somewhere and do HIIT
