Weight Loss ?

hey i was wondering if its possible to lose weight by keeping your weights/calisthenics the same but say stepping up your cardio like burning mass amounts of calories daily on a treadmill, so one more cals a day=more fat loss? and secondly if you stepped it up majorly like 800-1000 cals a day could you still eat what you want and lose weight? jus wondering. cause i find it easier to burn max cals then cut out cals daily.
