Weight loss through alkaline food?

My thing about a year ago was starting to balance my body pH and my acid-alkaline intake of foods in order to lose weight.

I never consume more than 20% of neutral and acidifying foods (burgers, omelette, muffins etc.), and at least 80% of alkalizing and alkaline foods, such as green vegetables, salads and avocados (the body's pH level is slightly alkaline, and that is why diet and nutrition should also reflect this).

After alkalizing my cell system with this alkaline diet I feel protected from sickness and disease, have increased energy levels and lost stubborn body fat. More effortless weight control, enhanced fitness, deeper sleep, less aches and pains, and improved mood and mental clarity are just a few of my rewards that came with optimizing my internal pH balance.

It worked out great for me. Since then my body dropped to its healthy weight (no more fat cells needed to carry away acids from vital organs) and my food cravings vanished.

There is no scientific or rational basis for this to work. Any gains you have had have been through diet modifications that have lowered your caloric intake and/or limited insulin spikes.
