Thanks so much for the lower body exercises! I'll look them up and try them!!

Wow, 1,000 calories burned sounds totally amazing. I managed 800-something calories one day digging huge holes and hauling rocks, but I was exhausted for 3 days afterward! I am 53 and the intermittent fasting shrunk most of the excess skin from losing 40 pounds in 7 months (I lost 10 pounds before Cate's weight loss challenge, so 40 in all).

Here's to really focusing and getting the last of the pudges off!!!

I have flirted with IF a few times, but man, it's hard for me to not eat when I'm hungry. I may try it again at some point in the future, though!

We all were. Hopefully, it won't happen again.
I'm glad Christmas/New Year is over too. Too much fuss/too much emotion.
It's nice having you back again :)

Thanks, cate! :) Good to be back!

Reps should be based on your goals, what are your current goals ? Also, more compound movements would produce a more time efficient workout.

Right now, my goal is just to get back into the swing of things and develop the habit of being there MWF. Also, I want to hold onto the muscle I have while dieting. High reps are probably not the best for that, but with my RA, the higher reps are a bit more easy on my joints than the heavy stuff. If I mix it up, I seem to do better. I do like this routine too, because it's simple - the gym already has it setup like a circuit with step stations so I don't have to think too much while I'm doing it!

I think more people feel like that than you'd think. Holidays can be extremely stressful. I find it overly emotional myself.

It just feels like so much going on all the time! Dinners, parties, company, shopping, etc. Glad it's over now! :D

Happy Hump Day!

Went to the gym....

Instead of step-ups, I tried "straddle step ups" for a few minutes. I did them super fast to where I only had one foot on at a time. Man, they were hard, but also fun in a masochistic sort of way.

Eating Plan

Bolded and enlarged because this is something I really need to work on. Yeah, I'm doing the W30, but I really need to count calories. I just hate counting! It makes me so sad ... lol.

One good thing is that I found this meal prep company called Kettlebell Kitchen. I ordered 6 meals which will hopefully be delivered today. I think it will really help to have these meals all ready because I eat on the go a lot, and I'm usually grabbing nuts ... or bacon  This way, I will have a meal all ready and can just heat it up instead of snacking my way through lunch and dinner. It will also help me count calories ...

Anywho, I'll let yall know what I think of the meals and I may even take some pics.

Have a great day everyone!

Wow, the strattle step ups look really hard. Maybe I'll try them today - just a couple for fun. I think I'll do a few of your lower body exercises too because I want to give my arms a break today.

I got to the point where I don't care for counting calories, so I just make myself a deal that I will be sure to eat well below the calorie limit so I don't have to bother with the calorie counter now or I will do IF longer if I think I may be over the limit. I think IF would be hard if I weren't also doing keto - having healthy fats when I am feeling snacky really helps cut the cravings! I do really miss all the higher carb veggies and lentils and things though, so will probably do a paleo/low carb diet mix once I get the weight off.

The meals you are getting look really healthy and good. Hope you like them!

Got my meals today!!

First one I tried:
Keto Bison Beef with broc, spinach, and purple stuff(?)
View attachment 26777

It wasn't really my cup of tea. I wasn't crazy about the seasoning of the meat. However, both my husband and daughter thought it was really good and they ate it all! I knew when I ordered it was going to be trial and error, so tomorrow I'll try a new one!

Is the purple stuff purple cabbage? I have never had bison, so wouldn't know what it is supposed to taste like. Hope the other meals are flavored more to your liking - it's such a nice idea!

Ooh. That looks yummo!

My family sure liked it, lol!

I think it is cabbage. Maybe I just didn't like bison? I had never had it, either.

I think that looks delicious . Yeah it looks like cabbage to me . How convenient.

Very convenient!! ;)

Looks nice - as an appetizer :p Is the cabbage raw or cooked? I wish there were an affordable option like that around here!

Well, I think it was raw, but I had to nuke it for 4 mins, so it was 1/2 cooked when served. Still a bit crunchy, but hot. I liked the veggies a lot!

Just wanted to share a pic of my bedroom, which is just about finished!! The blinds will be installed next week hopefully!

So gorgeous and love the colors with the beautiful view of trees outside. So soothing and like you are on vacation! Love the tray ceiling, too!

Thanks Lama and Marsia!

Well, I tried another of the Kettlebell Kitchen Meals.

Today's flavor:

Keto grass-fed steak and avocado with greens

It was delicious!!! The meat was super tender, the avocado sauce was very tasty and complimented the veggies. Winner!

Thanks yall for the nice comments!! :)

So yesterday was my first day of counting calories. My calorie goal is to stay under 1500. I was at about 1300 yesterday. I will get one day off on Sunday where I don't count, but don't go crazy either. Seems like a fair compromise with myself ... I spend a lot of time bribing myself into doing stuff I don't feel like doing but that is good for me. :D

I had to change a few things this morning on my workout because my wrist is bothering me a bit. Last night it hurt to even turn a door knob. So, I made some adjustments. I'll let it rest this weekend and take some nsaids and see how it feels Monday. If need be, I'll just work around it.

If your wrist hurts this soon you´re likely either not watching your form enough or using too much weight for the point you´re at. Please be careful!
