Thanks so much for the lower body exercises! I'll look them up and try them!!
Wow, 1,000 calories burned sounds totally amazing. I managed 800-something calories one day digging huge holes and hauling rocks, but I was exhausted for 3 days afterward! I am 53 and the intermittent fasting shrunk most of the excess skin from losing 40 pounds in 7 months (I lost 10 pounds before Cate's weight loss challenge, so 40 in all).
Here's to really focusing and getting the last of the pudges off!!!
I have flirted with IF a few times, but man, it's hard for me to not eat when I'm hungry. I may try it again at some point in the future, though!
We all were. Hopefully, it won't happen again.
I'm glad Christmas/New Year is over too. Too much fuss/too much emotion.
It's nice having you back again![]()
Thanks, cate!
Reps should be based on your goals, what are your current goals ? Also, more compound movements would produce a more time efficient workout.
Right now, my goal is just to get back into the swing of things and develop the habit of being there MWF. Also, I want to hold onto the muscle I have while dieting. High reps are probably not the best for that, but with my RA, the higher reps are a bit more easy on my joints than the heavy stuff. If I mix it up, I seem to do better. I do like this routine too, because it's simple - the gym already has it setup like a circuit with step stations so I don't have to think too much while I'm doing it!
I think more people feel like that than you'd think. Holidays can be extremely stressful. I find it overly emotional myself.
It just feels like so much going on all the time! Dinners, parties, company, shopping, etc. Glad it's over now!
