Hey y'all! How's it going today? It's getting on towards dinner time for most of you.... you get in some cardio and keep your portions normal? I'm getting ready to go to the store and get another week's worth of food. I think I'm going to go with 3 days of fish, 3 of chicken and one of red meat. Probably salmon, tilapia, and catfish for the fish, and maybe flank steak for the meat so I can make fajitas.

Let's keep it up though, first weigh in is on Sunday and I want to get off to a resounding #1:D Oh, and does anyone watch the Biggest Loser? I still have about 10 hours until it comes on here, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE that show. Maybe we should all watch it (if you want) to keep motivated... Lord knows it helps me.

you know I went to the christmas challenge and looked at your picture, we have REALLY similar body types... you're just taller!

Does it annoy any one on our team when people say, "Oh you're not that big, don't worry about losing weight"? It annoys the crap out of me. I feel like, hey, I AM too big... I'm not comfortable with myself so that's enough for me to want to change... I dunno, just wondering really. It's hard because I don't feel like I look like 168 pounds, and when people guess they always guess 15-20 pounds lower. My friends were shocked when they found out I weigh this much. I guess it's hard because you can look at some people that weigh the same as you and they look really big, but everyone just carries weight differently. Just me rambling because I'm having a bad body image day

YES! And sometimes I think they say it because they are either a) skinny and don't know what it feels like to BE overweight, or b) overweight and don't want to admit it.

Is Biggest Loser on tonight? Here I thought it was on Monday and I missed it:eek:

hey guys, sorry no post earlier today. I've been busy running around with friends today... it's a rare day out to enjoy lunch with the girls, some bowling, and relaxing and chatting. I just got home not too long ago. But I did get some cardio in today with the bowling and a couple of long walks with the dogs. Not vigorous, but something. Food was, well, less than stellar. Ate about 2000 cals today.

How's everyone else doing? Seems like you're busy! Hope you're all doing great... just a couple more days until weigh-ins...
 
Pinky, you can't get me with that one; I don't like seafood!:D

I hope everyone has a great Friday; my little girl is going to daycare today, so I hope to take the baby for a nice long walk. And today is my first day at the "gym"...I hope the elliptical is free.:)
 
Good Morning Everyone! I forgot to weigh this morning...But..I feel like I have lost a pound or two! *Crossing Fingers* Yesterday I cheated a little, for lunch I had about 20 small pretzels dipped in Fat Free Italian, with veggis on the side (Broc, Celery, Carrots, Cucumbers), and to satisfy my sweet tooth I had about 15-20 Candy Corns. For Dinner I had a ceaser side salad from the deli @ the local grocey store with a Deli Market Roast Beef and Bacon on Wheat from Arbys. I ate all this @ 830 instead of eating at 630pm. BOO! I didn't get to work out yesterday, but I am deff. going today! I have some new pictures to post...If anyone has any ON THE GO meal ideas..I am open for suggestions! I am a mom on the go with little time to prepare for the next day! Have a wonderful FRIDAY!!!!!!!
 
Hi team mates! Just checking in to see how everyone's doing... On a scale of 1-10 (10 being incredible) how do y'all think you did with exercise... same scale for nutrition? If this week wasn't so great, why not, and how could we help? We have one more day to work really hard and then it's our first weigh-in!

As far as my scale goes: exercise=8, nutrition= 6.5-7 (I had fast food once, and broke down and had a soda:( ).

do you have a before pic up anywhere? thats really cool. we have a similar goal then! and I was just arguing with my fiance about the "oh your not that big" thing!! lol. small world.

I have not been doing well ladies, I'm sorry. I feel like I've let you down and especialy myself.
 
:p Me too Kate. I pigged out on Pepsi and meatballs last night:( The good news is, I still was down about 2 oz this morning, so all is not lost!

Alright, food-wise, I did great for about 4 or 5 days, then not so great for the rest of the week. Exercise; I got out every day for an hour long walk. 2 on Tuesday! So I've lost a tiny bit this week.
 
Ok, I'm sooo upset today. I just got back from the doctor because I was having severe pain in my leg (though I was still working out on it...stupid me). Turns out I TORE my lateral quadricep muscle. I am only allowed to lift weights and walk. No elliptical. No running. No biking. I'm kind of annoyed now since I'll have to walk about 2 hours or more to equal the normal calorie burn of a typical workout. Hopefully I can still lose weight to help out the team, though.

And no worries on the snacking. Don't beat yourself up about a bad food choice. Acknowledge it and move on. If you dwell on it you're more likely to give up and say, "Well I've screwed up, might as well keep eating since I'll never lose any weight." Or something to that effect.

Just dont have as many calories for a while until your quad heals. That would be easier than walking a great distance to make up for it anyway.
 
Weigh In Time!

It's that time of the week y'all! Please go to the main post (October One Month Challeng?) and I need everyone to weigh in. I'll post the percentage of weight lost for each team. Please include in your post in this order: team name, screen name, starting weight, current weight.

Results will be posted on Monday.
 
Hey guys! Haven't had much activity the last couple of days on the message board... Is everyone doing OK? I hope so. What do you want the team challenge to be this week? I was thinking keep up the 30 mins of cardio, and add in water consumption. How about we all try to drink at least 1/2 our body weight in water. i.e. I weight 167 pounds, so I need to drink 83.5 oz. of water. If we do this be prepared to pee a whoooole lot:p .

(ps our theme song is the ghost busters song, replaced with weight busters:cool: )
 
Almost that time again... just two days before the weigh-in. How's everyone doing?!
