Weak day.

Today I went to the gym to workout my chest back and shoulders. My first exercise I do is bench press, I got all streched out and went to do my warm-up set which is 110x12 and strugled with it, and I OWN this weight. I moved up to 130x10 and only made it to 7. This totally discouraged me so I went home and took a nap. After I woke up I went downstairs and tried to bench again I did 120x10 and 130x10 and strugled like a son of a gun. My right shoulder is a little sore now but nothing Im worried about. I felt tired almost all day and questioned lifting but Im usually glad once I get there. Is this normal and happens to the best of us.
 
It could be sleep, energy (due to food), mood, stress, anything. But your shoulder shouldn't hurt, look into shoulder prehab.
 
Yeah, everyone has their bad days. Don't worry about it, just go back at it again, and get rest, etc...
 
yeah, some days i get to the gym and im like "WOAH! this has never been so tiering" if im having a bad day at the gym, i notice it from my clean and jerks, if im short on energy, they KILL me! :p
 
thats why before i head to the gym i am sure to have a good amount of food in me and enough rest. nothing is more annoying than when you can't lift what you know you can.
 
Everyone is right, it could be a multitude of things. Are you sleeping enough? When is the last time you took a week off from the weights? Is your nutrition up to snuff? All of these things can cause lack of strength/motivation.

Also, the shoulder thing could def. be it. I tore my rotator cuff ever so slightly before, which only cause minor pains, especially when doing things such as bench press. I was stupid and immature however, and lifted through the pain. This caused a worst tear, and chronic arthiritis! Now I have to stretch my shoulder 3 days per week for about 20 minutes each time with special (rotator specific) stretching routine.

Make sure you take care of yourself.

I always tell people, if you feel a nagging pain, take some time off. You are not going to shrink if you do this, unless you feel pain all the time and take off every other week!
