"We can't become what we need by remaining what we are"

Hi, i am new on here my names Amanda aswell..i also am on ww, but kinda fell off the wagon and am trying to get back on, i am going to weigh in the next meeting on wednesday, but could use some extra motivation ...any tips?

Hey there Amanda!! Well I'm not on ww anymore I decided to change it up a bit and now I'm eating healthy. I wanted to do something that I could do longterm and make it a lifestyle change instead of a diet. But I do know a lot about ww bc I've done it (or attempted it) many times.. So if you have any qts just ask...

But I have a recommendations! Come here a lot!! The people on this site are great!! They keep you motivated even then things are at there worst!! Start a diary and try to post everyday!!

Also check out the challenges thread. There's a new challenge starting Monday... your just in time!! It's called the "6 weeks New Year's Challenge Continuation." It's great!! I did it the last 6 weeks and it kept me SO motivated!!

You've come to the right place!! I'll be looking for your diary thread!! And hope you join the challenge too!! And hope you stop by again!!

Hey Amanda, it looks like you're still doing great! What is it you do for exercise? Whatever it is I have a suggestion: just start, regardless of how much you want to do. I go to the gym after work 3 to 4 times a week. Luckily its close enough that I can walk. Sometimes I don't want to do it at all. I'm tired, I just want to go home and have dinner and curl up on the couch with my husband. But, I have this hour pre-slotted for exercise so I just (zombie-like sometimes) walk over there into the changing room and let habit take over getting me onto the treadmill or the elliptical. I tell myself I can just do an easy day, just move around a little for the time I'm supposed to be there. Sometimes that's exactly what I do, and sometimes during the warm up I wake up a bit, emerge from the haze of my working day and find the energy to go for a real high intensity workout. Theres really no way you can know which kind of day it really is, but its true that moving around even at a low intensity for that amount of time is probably more than you would have done otherwise, so its good. Sometimes it feels like so much pressure to have to deliberately go "work out" and its self defeating. Just keep yourself on a regular schedule (like 4 hours a week from the challenge) and make sure you attempt all those hours.

Also, (and I'm sure you've heard this before) find something you like to do. Something that isn't first and foremost "exercise". I'm trying to get into running, and tennis when it gets warmer. Hmmm, kickboxing is something I'd like to try, hiking is good, maybe theres a recreational soccer league nearby or something. I don't know but you get the idea. :)

Thanks Gen!

Idk why my exercise has just stopped the past couple days I haven't been feeling well I'm tired and exhausted.. It's like I felt when my thyroid first went outta whack.. I can barely wake up and do daily tasks I'm gonna see the doctor about that soon. But before that I just stopped I was busy and just made excuses.. I just did the minimium 4 hours which is better than nothing.. but still dissappointed in myself. I do like the exercise I do.. I'm just always studying when I'm not at work or at school and I let that get in my way.. I need to find a better way to deal with my days I guess.. But this is a learning procress hopefully I'll get in figured out soon.. lol Thanks for your advice!!

My befores and afters from the 6 week challenge. I only lost 1.8lbs but I did lose 21 inches!! I can see changes in the front on pictures but not so much in the side views.

Thanks :) I lost 17 inches in the first 2 weeks then I let my exercise start slacking.. I would what would have happened if I didn't let that happen. I'm hoping for more changes the next 6 weeks!!
