Great job getting all your measurements. I'm lazy. I only do my waist, hips, chest and thighs. I probably should start doing more measurements. Might keep me from getting discouraged when my scale doesn't show a change...

Food Intake:

Breakfast: Banana and apple
Lunch: Turkey sandwich on wheat with toasted multigrain crackers and a pickle
Supper: Salad with sliced chicken breast and fat-free ranch dressing

I'm so happy with my first day!!

Exercise:

1 hour of belly dancing.. that was tough.. its a lot to learn!! And really got my heart rate up!

30 mins of yoga.. first time doing yoga as well and I must say I really liked it!!

Total: 1 hour and 30 mins

Tomorrows work out will be more challenging I'm going to Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, the treadmill, and some strength training on the crossbow!! I'll get nice and sweaty!!

Yes right now I need all the motivation I can get right now and every inch I see that comes off makes me happy!! But I'm hoping the scales are nice to me for at least the first 20lbs too.. lol

Thanks, I drifted off for a while but this time I'm here to stay!! I'm finally thinking about myself now and losing the weight for me and my health and that makes a huge difference!! I hope your day went well!!

Inches is what really matters too me as long as I can see a difference thats all the matters!! and Day 1 was great!!! I stayed focused!! and I exercised unlike last time and when I could stay the exercise!! I'm diving straight in this time and not cutting corners!! I hope your day went well too!! Go team 2 (if thats the team I'm on.. lol)
 
Ok.. just an update for the day.. So far perfect!!!

Food Intake:

Breakfast: Bowl of special K cereal with skim milk
Lunch: Turkey sandwich on wheat... like 5 green olives (yum) and a few toasted multi-grain crackers
Snack: light yogurt
Supper: Salad with ham, turkey, egg whites and fat-free ranch dressing
Snack: Strawberry smoothie made with fresh strawberries, skim milk, sweet'n'low, and ice (yum)

Exercise so far:

30 mins of belly dancing
30 mins of work out video... gilads bodies in motiong... (I'm loving fit tv for all these free work outs)

Tonight my snack I finished up my work-out:

20 mins with Jillian Michaels 30 day shred
30 mins strength training (15 mins lat pull down/ 15 min leg extension)

Total: 1 hour and 50 mins

Hey there chica, glad to see you're doing some bellydancing. one of the best cardio workouts everr discovered. I LOVE it. if you're looking for someone to talk BDing with on your team, chat up Val(curviegurlie). She's a laugh riot, and just a ball of energy. and she's gotten into bellydancing too.
Best of luck, even though you're on the wrong team, I'm still cheering for you to do a great job. stick with it Amanda, you rock. ;)

I've tried the Gilads stuff before- helluva workout, but I can't do em cuz everything in my house shakes, lol!! How horrible :rolleyes:

OK well if someone wants a good work out try Jillian Michaels 30 day shred WOW.. It was serious a work out.. I could just be that outta shape and a pack of cigs a day doesn't help but for me wow it killed me!!!

Today was good!! I ate healthy very pleased with myself!! And work out for almost 2 hours.. I'm only 40 mins away from meeting the exercise limit for the challenge and already have the strength training.. but I'm still gonna keep going when I've completed that.. I haven't decided how many days a week I'm going to exercise per week.. I might do it everyday for the first week just to kick it off right.. but will probably cut down to 5 days a week when school starts bc my schedule will get busier.. except for JM 30 day shred I'll still do that everyday but its only 20 mins so its doable..

Another thing tonight after my strenght training and JM video I was SOO hungry!! Does anyone else get hungry after workout outs?? I didn't eat I figured it meant I burned so calories!! woot woot!!

I have to agree w Trops even tho we're on opposing teams I can still take belly dancing with you...lol.. although I don't know what about it to talk about lol.. but it is reaily fun I'm still learning it and I feel like an idiot when I do it bc I'm still trying to learn the moves..lol I've been doing the work outs on fit tv while wanting for mine to come in the mail... anyways I hope your day 2 was awesome!

Yes Gilad is one hell of a work out! wow I could just be horribly outta shape but I was tired when I got finished.. and believe me if my room wasn't in the basement my whole house would have been shaking too.. lol

I think its normal to get hungry after a work out. You should figure a healthy snack into your daily plan for after your workouts, though. Its good for you to eat after working out as long as you're still under maintenence. Great going so far though! :)

I agree belly dancing is rough.. and its even harder just to get the hang off.. im watching for my actully dvd to get here.. ive just been doing the ones on fit tv.. yes i would definitely recommend that thread!! It was like 30$ i think on the actually website for it but I got mine for like 10 on amazon.. yes I hate my before pics but they can only get better i hope!! and im happy were teammates too!! we're gonna rock this challenge!!!

Day 3

Food intake:

Breakfast: bowl of cereal (dk exact name but it was healthy) and a glass of cranberry juice
Lunch: Ham sandwich on wheat w rare broccoili w a bit of fat free ranch
Snack: Big juicy apple!!
Supper: Baked tenderloin peas and carrots and small salad

I was happy with my supper today!! I actually sat down with the family for dinner.. they have fried tenderloin and I cooked about a 4oz serving for myself and baked it! and I didn't have the stuffing and pork gravy they were having and also no biscuit! I was proud of myself I was able to eat normal food but make healthy choices!!

Exercise:

40 min on treadmill
20 min JM shred

Total: 1 hour

I almost didn't exercise tonight bc I'M SO SORE!! When I cough it hurts my stomach! But I said well just do JM dvd and I was about to start that and I decided to get on the treadmill first started planning for 15 mins and ended up w 40 min then I did JM dvd.. Wow she kicks my butt.. But it wasn't as hard tonight.. still hard but not so bad.. But I'm glad I did it!! I feel great!!



And on a side note.. I just went and bought my books for this semester and THEY COST 900$!!!!!! WOW THATS CRAZY!!! oh well I had extra financial aid money to pay for them.. I don't know what I would have done without that tho... but I'm still shocked about the amount of money they were..


And another.. tomorrow will be tough I will be in a hospital waiting room all day and I hope they have healthy eating choices but the reason for going... my little sister whos 17 is have a EP study bc her heart has been having pauses for several seconds at a time.. and there is a chance she could have to get a pacemaker (scary) but they also found out she has lyme disease this week due to a tick bite we're assuming we do live on a big farm so its possible what happened.. but the lyme disease caused the heart problems.. but its so scary bc shes in perfect health otherwise.. shes active, a cheerleader, about 130lbs bc she eats right and it scares me.. So I hope all goes well and everything is a success.. but I'll stressed about it!!

anyways I'm off to bed I have to be up in 3 hours!!
