Waxing!!!

:eek: I got talked into going w/ a friend and getting waxed. Now i'm wondering if any one out there has had this done and how painfull it might be.
Honestly don't know what i was thinking but i can't back out now(that would make me a wuss, one w/out pain but a wuss anyways)So on a scale of 1-10 ten be so freaking horrible you would rather die lol....How bad is it really?

I'm going this saturday so i'll let y'all know.

i have not gotten anything waxed. i should have eyebrows done, but i'd rather pluck them than have someone else inflicting pain on me! i'll be watching for your report lol!
 
eybrows would be one thing there tiny, but were talking legs and....stuff
so i'm thinking major pain lol. and yeah ill let you know if i survive :eek:
 
OOHHH.. painful..Ive done eyebrows..but nothing like a whole extremity...r you sure its worth it? I personally am A-OK w/ shaving every week...if you even mention a bikini waxing i think i would pass out
 
I don't know about worth it,you know how with waxing you got to let your hair grow to like 1/4" . i'm not really interested in doing that all summer,and going around in pants and stuff dying of heat lol..

Usually i shave or use a hair removing cream but i got talked into it,and and can't back down now(too stuborn i guess)

Oh and it's a little more than a bikini wax and yeah i believe i might pass out

I'm all for trying anything once but let me tell you, never will i do that again!!!!that was more painfull than giving birth to a 10 1/2lbs baby-at least they give you an epidural for the baby!
my jaw is still sore from clenching it so i wouldnt scream out in pain and punch the living day lights out of that girl! i can't believe i paid someone to do that.....worst part is the ones they dont get w/ the wax they go after w/ the tweezers :eek:
so now i know,never will i do that again...from now on i stick to razors and creams.at least i wont have to shave for a while :rolleyes:
 
did you get a brazillian? Because those hurt like a bitch! But I always wax my legs, I have a professional waxing kit thing at home, and whenever I see a bit of hair, I just heat it up, and wax the spots. It's great for summertime because you get it super smooth, and you don't have to bother shaving every day
 
yup i got a brazillian and hurt like a bitch it did lol that was the worst part, the legs hurt in some spots but not others but i dont think i would do it again...i don't like the idea of having to go around hairy until it's time to do it again, hairy legs and shorts or bathing suits don't mix lol
at least ill be cute and hair free for a while :)
(never had some strange women get so up close and personal lol i know it's her job but kinda weird....the stuff we women have to go through :rolleyes: lol)
 
yeah, I got a brazillian once like a year ago, and my ex boyfriend didn't really like it because he thought it was too.. "10 year old virgin" as he said... so I haven't gotten it done since.. plus it hurts.
 
Lmao, thats funny! not to get to technical or any thing but its not all gone, the lady i saw gave me a few options...but it still hurt
as for the legs do you ever get used to the pain or does it always hurt when you do it ?
 
oh yeah.. you get used to it after waxing a few times. And I don't really wait for my hair to grow back in like 1/4 of an inch. Whenever I see hair, I either pluck it out with my tweezers, or I heat up the wax, and just wax the spots where I see a little hair. It's good to invest in a little waxing kit. It's really worth it. I used to have a small one thats good for travelling because it held one tube of wax.. now I use this really big one that holds like 6 tubes of wax. (Oh.. fyi: I use a roll on wax) My mommy got it for me.. lol. She works in the beauty industry;). Anyways. yeah... I shave occasionally too. expecially in the winter because I don't wear shorts, and I get too lazy to wax, so if i'm going swimming or in a hottub, shaving is a lot quicker.
 
so any tips on how to make it less painful :) b/c you know pain sucks lol
and is it less painfull when you do it your self (b/c you know its coming)or when somebody else does it(element of surprise , b/c they sure dont count to 3 before pulling ;) )
just incase i decide to do the legs again :)
 
hmm.. I actually prefer to get it done by someone else, because i'm far too lazy to do it myself sometimes.. lol. Some people say that ice helps.. but I tried it one and it doesn't really help that much. umm...I can't really think of anything. You just get used to it after a while. I found, the first few times I started waxing myself, is whenever I was ready to pull it off, then I would panic and be scared that I would pull it off and not get all the wax off, and then it would stick to my legs and I would have to go over the same spot again. Then I wouldn't pull it fast enough and it just wouldn't turn out perfectly. So I prefer having someone else wax it for me.
 
Lol. Gotcha get a stanger to do it.i can picture it now,i would totally chicken out and be stuck w/ wax all over my legs lol not a pretty site. Thanks for the info you've been a big help :)

Thanks for the help, and ya it would certainly be a professional(they are very good at getting all the hairs tweezers and all) ;)
