War has been declared.

I do at times get a bit impatient heh ohwell :)

Oh dam 4 days?! no way crazy wait time! Still thinking about the vlog idea... still bit shy for them but will have to make a few test ones haha

-----

Right, so this is a bit of a confession... I didn't do well at all this weekend, I simply don't have any solid routine during weekends as I have during weekdays, my job mainly keeping me on track and in a routine I have. Come the weekend, and there goes my routine and I begin to be lazy around the house... and with it eating a bit out of boredom. I'm back at 104kg this monday weigh in, really anrgy at myself, usually I try and ignore it don't post anything but I need to put it out there for a bit of self conviction for my actions :( and hope it reminds me to stay strong next weekend.

On the plus side I'm now going between 102-104 instead of 104-106, pretty sure withsome work I'll drop down to 102 again fairly easily then it will get hard again. Also good news this weekend, I got my workout equipment, and *drumroll* my treadmill! So really estatic about that, it was raining today, who cares I can still go for a walk! hehe

Past 2 days have went good, went to the market yesterday and stocked up on heaps of fruits! I've become addicted to the markets I will never go to the big chain supermarkets to get my whole foods haha...bought amazing mangos, $15 for 20. What's better is its really only me and my mum that eat mango's so it's all for me and her ;)

Also Weigh in this morning, and I've gone back down to 102.2 kg now just need to get past the 102 kg.

Day 23:

Today was a fairly solid day overall, was rather happy to smash out 60mins on the treadmill, burning 700 cals according to the machine (who knows how accurate they are haha) But regardless I felt the burn, other then that cardio workout I didn't really get any resistance training in.

Foodwise was pretty good 2 main meals and 3 snacks in between, breakfast being my main weetbix + banana, and for dinner brown rice + small tin of tuna + fruits. For snacks, some other fruits and nuts. I know I need ot be adding more vegetables in there but so far this is working out well I usually add in some steamed vegetables with my dinner but I got lazy in preparing them this morning. Had about 2L or water for the day which is ok but apparently I need some 3L of water but I'm happy with 2L+.

Sounds like you're doing well!! Arrgh I miss farmers markets, there was an awesome one I used to go to every week when I lived in a city a few hours south of Perth (where I grew up) They had awesome fruit n veg, but also had heaps of local products, like the entire range of Margaret River dairy products (yum, best cheese and yogurt!) and heaps of really random pantry items you'd have to go to a health food store or Asian food shop to get. Also had heaps of hand-made lollies and chocolates, I was a bit looser with my eating back then though... I have to buy everything online up here, and just stick to whatever produce I can get where I work.

The calorie counters on machines are pretty generalised, if you're after a more accurate count I use fitday and just input the workout I did (my details are already on there, I use it to count my calories too) Don't know how accurate you feel the need to be though!

IrishPrincess - Thankyou! :D Was a total of 6km, just power walking.. no running for me, -yet- my knees would just cave in... with pain.

Luzdafuzz - Thanks, this was just an ordinary market don't think its really a farmers market, or maybe it was I'm not too sure, but it's great regardless. Mmmm those dairy products would of been really nice, love dairy and its not good for me/us grrr! Ah well you gotta treat yourself to some sweets on the odd occasion. I'm not too crazy about accurate calorie loss count, just feeling knackard from the long cardio session makes me know I've done good enough, besides I would hate to think I the machine was being kind and I haven't actually lost that 700 calories! heh

Day 24:

Another solid day, again 60mins on the treadmill for 6km and 700 calorie loss ;) I'm probably going to do a little less tomorrow and add in some other exercises to mix it up and keep my body surprised, especially since I've put together my York Tower just after work (30mins ago) so I cna do some Knee ups which are great for my core strength and stomach, you can really feel it burn.

Breakfast: Weetbix 2x small bananas, apple vinegar drink, and 1x Mango.

Lunch : Smal l bowel of vegetables (about a cup of greens, snow peas, bok choi) I just put them in the pan with a drop of olive oil and some garlic.

Dinner: Brown Rice + Tuna + Vegetables, 1x mango, and a 1cup of other fruits (kiwi, grapes, rockmelon). 2 slices of pizza (bad I know they had it out at work...because it had been an extremely hard day due to some issues)

Snacks: Nuts, 1x banana, small tub of yoghurt.

So after finally building all the equipment, I thought I'd share it with you all! I know some would think its just better to get gym membership - I agree with this - however I don't drive yet so transport was an issue, also the fact I was more inclined to get the equipment because it would encourage my parents to do some exercise with it being THERE and no excuses, which applies to me aswell! Also it's just nice being able to just go and workout when ever you feel like it, I will probably go to a gym later in the future but for now I have this, so game on.

York Tower: http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g350/Dominaldi/YorkTower.jpg

I always enjoyed this in the gym, it really gave my stomach/lower body a good burn and found for me it really did alot in losing weight. Also I want to one day be able to do pull ups and dips in my workout haha! Though I'm no where near strong/light enough to do either, though the knee raises is what I do on them.

Weight Bench : http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g350/Dominaldi/WeightBench.jpg

I'm really happy with this purchase, I can do quite a bit of exercises with it (talking most about the bottom part of it); Calf Raises, Leg Extensions, Lying Leg curls, and Preacher Curls mainly.

Treadmill: http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g350/Dominaldi/Treadmill.jpg

Alot of the cardio action!

Bar... what : http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/g350/Dominaldi/Drinks.jpg

No no no, no drinking while working out! how did this get in here !

Day 25:

No work today so routine went out of the window, but I at least managed to get in 30mins of exercise, and ate fairly well I think... it gets really hard to calorie count honestly.

Breakfast: Weetbix, 2x bananas, soy milk

Snack: Fruits

lunch: Fish, with snow peas and some bread

Snack: Mango

Dinner: Brown rice and Tuna

Bought some health books online which should be delivered 3rd of November; The Kind Diet, by Alicia Silverstone, mainly interested in this book for the recipes for something to incorporate into my own meal plans. Also Food Rules & In Defence of food both by Michael Pollan, which both seem like a good read to get some solid information.

Haven't really posted past 2 days. Getting really hard to stick to it, had no motivation to do anything, did 10mins on the treadmill and hopped off, but reading some peoples diaries, and something that stuck in my head is never give up.. things may seem like they're not going the right way but keep at it.. don't stop. So I fought my desires to eat anything this morning and stuck to my normal healthy breakfast.

It's so frustrating that gaining weight is so easy yet trying to lose is and emmense task, well it may just be my down mood today but what ever trying to move on.

God dam, I fell off again.. this really sucks. back to 104k. so pretty much +3kg, now to try get back into it again.

Sorry everyone :(

Fall down, and pick yourself back up right...?

3rd time back to this... (wonder if anyone reads it lol..)

Anyway I'll just do it for myself as a way to blog it.

I've started a 1-2 month Juice Fast 2 days ago, and will be making videos on youtube for each day following my progress and how I'm coping and feeling while doing this Juice Fast. I know some people may find this as an extreme thing to do but It's actually done quite a lot with good results by alot of people. A good example of a person who did a 56 day Juice fast with amazing results

My youtube + first few vids:

(not very good with articulating myself when I get in front of a camera... haha.. excuse my confusing ramble.. Hope fully I will get better)

Things are going on track, this is my 4th day on my juice fast plan, and not having any hunger issues mainly just the urge/desire to eat meats, pasta and all those other salty sort of foods but I usually can defend against these 'attacks,' drink a bit of a water and tell myself I don't NEED it its just a WANT. It's amazing how our bodies just grow used to getting all these bad foods into us and eating heaps it really is like an addiction, Sometime i think "I wonder if this is how a rehabilitating bad drug addict is like getting off drugs?" lol.

Also Have been doing cardio for 1hr every morning, and feeling full of energy all day, also sleeping a lot better.

Today's weigh in was 103.5 kg (282.2 lb)

Hey I just read your blog and I commend you for coming back on here. I too have come..done well for a while then slacked for a while and now come back.

I have discovered that when I keep posting (even the bad days) I tend to do better. So I challenge you to keep posting regularly.

Thanks for hitting my thread...Its always cool when someone leaves a positive comment.

Do you have any short term goals? Are you still exercising at the park? Its summer down under right now so weather should be good. I was in Adelaide and Sydney several years ago during Jan. and it was great weather.

Thanks Brawny, no worries :) Anything to help motivate a fellow person in the fight to achieve a common goal of getting healthier.

Yeah I think I need to do the same... last 2 days I went off the fast sadly, but doesn't mean I'm giving back I'm straight back on the rails again need to re-focus.

Short-term goals right now is probably getting into more bike riding.. bought myself a shinny new bike to get myself moving more and yeah with some decent weather its great, however past few days have been REALLY hot, sun being really intense.

New day, extremely hot day. What do I do decide to try out my bike and ride out under the hot searing sun and melt.

I rode for about 40mins and my god I really gave my cardio system a good workout and quads... counted my heart rate through out the ride and for the most part it was 160-180/min felt like my heart needed a cage with the beating it was doing.. but it was a good ride overall I really felt the burn, and swear the fat was just melting away!

I'm doing a lot more bike riding over the next week mainly to get my fitness up for a big bike ride on the 4th of feb about a 4-5hr ride ~50km total with some people. All this in a effort to get myself out there to do more other things then just being at home using a treadmill which does get boring day in day out.

Time to kick start this old goal engine again... Really is tough to stay committed and motivated.

Agree with Brawny's post above that posting on a regular basis, even if it's just posting a weekly weigh in result seems to help stay on track.

How did the 50km bike ride in Feb go?

Didn't end up going for that bike trip sadly :(

But no matter still have kept on going with my bike trails near my house which are pretty good.

Going to research a bit up on next few up comming bike trials and groups doing it, and see if I can get a spot. Should act as a good motivator.

Hey Dom!

Good to see ya back. Thanks for hitting my thread.

Got a new plan? Lets see if we can string a few good days together. You with me?

Yeah I with ya mate! lets tear this weight up! (well lose it, you know what I mean) :D

No real solid plan, besides the basics;

Drink only water

Cut out most processed foods

Exercise more

Eat less, move more.

Time to get to it.

Pretty happy about today, a good 30-40min bike ride, even though it was raining - it actually felt nice riding in the rain.

Food wise, did very well stuck to healthy eating, didn't give into the temptations... thosee Malteasers just kept TEASING me every time i was going into the kitchen to prepare good healthy meal.

I've been doing a lot of research into becoming a vegan, no meat, no diary. The benifits of being a vegan health wise are just amazing, and it really is just the best lifestyle in my opinion in where I want to be after I lose weight. It definitely is hard to transition over from being a meat/diary eater, but after attending some vegan classes I have learn't a fair deal into incorperating vegan meals into my lifestyle. Over the past 2-3 weeks I was slowly switching meals over to vegan-based meals cutting out diary/meat, have and just about figured how I can go about daily picking out meals to eat without too much trouble.

I'll post up more later in the week about what I'm eating with pictures ;)

Bit of confession since running off the rails since about Feb, I've gone back to 110kg, painful to admit since I had gone down to 101-102kg... but needed to be said..

Right now the goal is to settle into this vegan lifestyle comfortably and keep up exercising.
