want the abs but not the weight loss!

Hi.

I am fairly toned and in fact could use some more weight. My problem is that I have some fat stored around my stomach. My abs kind of show through right now, but not very visible. They look pretty good in the morning. I've been eating clean for a while (but I do have a cheat meal every 3 days or so). My problem is I want to lose more fat off my stomach but I can't really afford to lose the weight or fat elsewhere. I barely have any fat on anywhere else on my body and I don't want to lose muscle. What can I do? I'm already eating 6 meals a day. Workout 4X a week. I try to do 3X cardio but I'm scared cardio will make me lose muscle. I am 5'6'' and 130 pounds.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to say, you either lose fat or you don't. Cardio three times a week is fine, just don't over do it. Something along the lines of windsprints or interval running will suit you fine. Take 15 minutes and do a 30 second full out run followed by 1 minute of walking or jogging. That should be sufficient to lose the fat and keep the muscle.

Evo: Agreed. You can either add weight or lose weight; but only overall. No spot reducing.

Kevlar: Lose the weight; seriously man it's cool. Focus on a SUPER lean diet, hit HIIT and lose the fat. I know you don't want to lose the weight becuase you feel you're underweight currently, but once you get rid of the excess fat, you're diet will be on track and you'll be able to start to add a good bit of muscle.

ditto.....

i want to lose the fat and not weight either. last year i went from 182lbs 22.1% bodyfat to 176lbs 15.7% bodyfat. i only lost 6 total pounds. :)

all i did was strength trained 3X a week and did HIIT 3X a week. did not drastically reduce my calories. kept my protein and fat constant and lowered my carbs. about to crank it up march 5th again :)

Thanks for the advice everyone!
What is a super lean diet to you guys? I've been eating fairly healthy for a good 6 months now and while I see some results, it has kind of plateaued. Here is a sample day's worth of food.
protein shake & 4 flax seed oil caplets
1/2 cup oatmeal, milk, slice of whole wheat toast with all natural p&b, some egg whites
sashimi & sushi
chicken & whole wheat macaroni or veggies
rice with pork & veggies
lean cusine

I probably have a cheat meal every 2nd or 3rd day because it's so hard not too and I think the cardio will work that off.

try to spread your cheat meal over a one week period and dont justify it by saying ill just work out more, its better to just have once a week and then you dont have to worry about it.

Your diet looks very clean, except for the Lean Cuisine - definitely cut that out! It's full of preservatives and other garbage that you don't want to be consuming.
You really should decrease the amount of cheats you have - one meal a week is probably it if you really want to see those abs. You have to have some self-discipline!
