Well I'm officially 20 lbs down! 266 - 246!!
That also means my BMI has dropped from morbidly obese to obese!
Hurrah! I hated that word!!!
:biggrinjester:

I am pleased that your weight is down.

I know that you are new and havent made many postings. Why did you start a new diary?

We normally go to the end of our diary and reply on the end of that. Otherwise you end up with a new diary for every entry. It is easy to find. If you click on your name you can find all threads started by you on your public profile and all postings that you have made.

If you PM a moderator they can concatenate your diaries together.

Aaaaah brilliant. Thanks for the heads up! I'll just reply on this one from now on, I havn't done many others anyway so it doesn't matter too much :)

well done!! keep it up! curious how many meals you eat a day? sorry, im new to this. hehe

Thankyou :D

I eat 3 meals a day! I am trying to limit my carbs as I put on weight very easily with too much bread. I'm finding that when I crave bread if I have an apple I can actually feel more full.. odd!

You are welcome. I know how tricky it is with new things at first.

Any questions - just ask.

Back in the game!

Well had a few major money problems since early this year meaning I had to cancel my gym membership, that proved to be a disaster as I put on 10lbs in 2 weeks! Shocking!
Managed to resurrect the ancient exercise bike from the attic and bought a mini trampoline too.
Been working out as often as possible and got back down to 246lbs again.
Weighed myself this morning and I'm down another pound, 245!! Woo!
7lbs left to go till my second target of 17 stone!!

Now the money issues are on the mend I renewed my gym membership and am off to pound it out in 20 mins!
Wish me luck! :)

I'm sorry about the weight gain - but it is great to see that you are back on track.

We all have gains at times - but the important thing is that you come back to the forum and continue with the project.

For many of us (that got to be on the big side) we end up with a project that we kind of have to continue for life. We cannot just put it down or those weight losses that we worked so hard for - pile back on. I am so pleased that you are on track, exercising and losing weight.

I certainly wish you luck with the continued success of your project.

Thankyou! I'm really pleased with my new routine and it's working out well for me so far! I definately appreciate coming here and reading other's diary entries for motivation and support!
I found some old photos from 1999 my mum's 40th birthday and that was the last time I can actually remember feeling good about my body.
It's her 50th next year so I want to feel the same way I did then! That's my ultimate aim anyway!!!
How are things going for you? Only 9lbs to go! That's incredible!

ALSO!
BREAKING NEWS!
I found out today that you can get gastric banding surgery on the NHS (i.e for free) if your BMI is 40+.
Now that I'm 39.5 I'm out of that category! That makes me feel really good in a weird way!
I'm no longer in the 'you are so huge we'll give you the operation FREE' category!
Hurrrraaaaah!

Fiber, diets high in fiber tend to be more filling. Great for weight loss.

Heh, that makes sense. Congratulations on your loss, keep it going!

243 lbs!!!

Down 2lbs this week!
Going to a summer festival in 3 weeks, really hoping I can lose 5lbs by then.
I'd be ecstatic!!!
103lbs to go!!

Update time

Had real difficulty getting myself to the gym this week.
I am absolutely 100% going no matter what happens tomorrow!
I have my gym bag waiting by the door!

Somehow or another I've spent the week gardening at my Nana's house, walking my Aunt's dogs, catching up with my cousin after her holiday, listening (for an entire day) to my friend's relationship troubles and keeping my brother company on a cross-country all-day drive to pick up a package.

I actually had zero time to go to the gym, my membership is weekday only and ends at 5pm. As I'm not working right now I think people expect me to be free for them constantly as I normally am!
I still want to help my family and friends but manage to get a little 'me' time in there too, after all I'm getting fit for me not anyone else!

I think the best plan is to go first thing in the morning after breakfast that way I can't get wrapped up in everyone else's days!!!

Doubt I'll see much weight loss this week! Although I did work my butt off at my Nana's! Her garden is a mission to maintain!!!! :jump:

That is a refreshing attitude. I know people who would literally put the weight back on to get the surgery. Great job with the loss so far.
