good news and bad news

I broke my PR for 1.5 miles by 6 seconds yesturday and it felt easier :)

Last night i think my gf broke up with me so yeah, im bummed. She said she wants to take some time to herself but i dunno, we have been together for 3 1/2 years. Im really sad, but i guess im just gonna havta wait untill she calls me up to find out whats going on. :'(
 
Ah man that sucks, we girls can be such a pain sometimes....hopefully youve gotten to talk to her and figure somethings out, maybe your getting so hot she just cant handle it ;) sorry just trying to make ya feel better :p

yeah we are all cool, ive just been slacking on some things i promised and she has just been depressed about being broke. We made up, it was fun :cool:

On another note i SMASHED another pr of mine yesturday. My previous 5k record was set on May 29, ran it in 25:54 min with a 9 min avg pace. My new record set on June 11, ran it in 23:56 with a 8:20 min avg pace.

So in two weeks i cut 40 seconds off per mile and my heart rate averaged 2 bpm less then my previous record.


I bought new clothes a week before mexico and they fit great. Both the pairs of shorts now are big on me and bunch up when i tighten my belt and the shirt i had to exchange for a smaller size. I now wear a large/medium in shirts and 34-33 pants and shorts while hitting the scales @ about 194.

Still have quite a few pounds left but they are being really stubborn. I dont really care about not losing the pounds as fast cause im moving into a new house on the 15th and im too broke to buy more clothes.

Im glad you and your GF are better...making up is sooo fun.. i love it.
Your times look great...you have made great progress. You'd be proud of me..I actually jogged like an 1/8 mile...slow as mollasses but I felt pretty good, didnt feel like i was going to die & it was after hiking for an hr...I out ran my 8 yr old back to the house which is an accomplishment as it was after the 1/8 mile. :-D kinda cool
 
Good for you Vince glad you ve gotten it all worked out, making up is the best part about anybreak up ;) Woohoo Congrats on breaking another PR doesnt it feel great,your really kicking some a** way to go :)
 
i wont be posting but once every week or two weeks cause im moving into a new house on friday.

two days ago- skipped all running because i biked to and from work (15 miles total).

yesturday- Feeling good so i ran a slow (10 min mile) 5 mile run and took a shower then had to ride 6 miles to work right after. For lunch i rode to a subway about an 1/8 mile away so add on another 1/2 mile. Then i rode home and then rode to my gf's house three miles away to give her some gass money.

So all in all i did about 22 miles and burned a extra 1500 or so cals.

One of the hardest parts about exercising for me is that i want, even need to go 110% all the time. If i dont i feel like im cheating myself but i know that a good trainging program is key. I really have lightened up on my diet, i still eat good and every three-four hours but im not all about the weight loss now. One reason is that i cant afford new clothes yet and the ones i have now are right on the borderline of fitting.

Almost all moved in

its a great house but running is very boring now, no hills, just stoplight to stoplight.

Anyways, weight has still been creeping lower and im not even trying to eat super healthy like before, everything in moderation now.

I should be breaking 190 tonight
 
Wow your doing great Vince, congrats on getting to 190 thats great! lol stop light to stop light sucks,thats why im glad im in the country no stop lights...a few dogs that run after you though but thats motivation to run faster :p

i hit my target weight and blew past it :D

im currently 178 and lifes great. I fit into a med/large shirt and im @ about a 31 waist.

the only that sucks about losing weight is having to buy new cloths every 3 weeks or so cause they dont fit anymore :D

I have been crosstraining with ankle and wrist weights but have yet to hit the gym. I dont like the crowds or the people who are just there to look @ other people. The weights i use are 5lbs apeice and it may not sound like much but an extra 20lbs on a 3 mile run is very very hard. I also have to start saving up for a weight vest. Rollerblading with 10 lbs on each leg is a great all around leg and hip workout. If i put the 10 lbs on each arm then its a great bi/tri, shoulder and trunk workout.

Rant: Poeple who try to run me over on my morning runs can DIE. Almost every morning run i will be almost hit by @ least 2 vehicles. I really wanna start carrying a hammer with me so i can give em a peice of my mind. Stupid drivers suck :mad:
 
Ooh, I hate jerky drivers too. I've been jogging lately, too, and that's my only real pet peeve. I stay on the sidewalk, but I'm always afraid that the guy on the cellphone will blow past the stop sign where I'm crossing, etc. It's very nerve-wrecking.
 
yeah, watch out for city busses. Ive been brushed/nudged by them more times then i can count.
