Vickys starting fresh!

At the time of writing this, I'm already 3 weeks and 6 days in and 3lbs down. Weighing myself weekly (so we will see what tomorrow brings!) gym membership is on course for happening this week and I've just secured myself a job after being a month and a bit unemployed. So the motivation is there. The small but important losses I've had so far help. I'm not wanting immediate loss, cause I think this way I'll keep it off and it'll become more or a way of life! For this reason I don't have a set time goal as such, since in the past it's disheartened me when I've crashed out early.

For this and other reasons, I won't be keeping a food or exercise diary, but what I will do is post my weight weekly and my feelings about the week and maybe some things about whether I've stayed on track, or deviated a little. At present I don't have too many tips, however one thing that has changed so far this week is the amount of walking that has been done (around 11 miles in 3 days) hopefully will pay off!

Feel free to post comments and I'll do my best to return the favour and throw my motivation at you along the way!

Hello miss Vicky. Welcome to WLF.
All I have to say at the moment is that I wish you the best of luck in your life change.
There is a lot of great people here to help and motivate. So feel free to jump in at any time.
I'll be stopping in to check in on you occasionally.

Good luck....

Hi Vicky :) Nice to see people getting healthy, so welcome to the forum. Hope your week is going well!

Hey Vicky!

That's great you have lost weight and are on course to joining the gym too! I have been going to the gym daily in the morning for the past 5 months and its paying off, slower then i expected but hey im sure its a healthier weight loss pace =)

Yes having a job keeps you occupied more and less tempted to eat, at least it does for me. Good to know that your motivated to change your life and i wish you all the best in your weight loss journey =)

Gym was joined last week...I just need a but of a routine for the gym though so any advice will be welcome. The only thing that needs leaving out is lifting, since I cannot safely lift anything above my head (long story) but I can safely do everything else!

Unofficial weigh in for last week saw me another pound down, however we'll see what happened this week on wednesday....I'm not too hopeful for a loss, but we'll see.

First off congrats on the loss.
Secondly, talk to a trainer that works at the gym they can help you.
Keep up the good work and keep diggin
