Upping metabolism and burning some fat, lifting...

Well, i have some on my stomache that i would really like to get rid of, so i can truely punish my ab's to get a six pack, heh.

I am currently doing...

Monday - friday
3-5 minute run warmup
5 reps of 12 benchpress
5 reps of 12 leg press
5 reps of 12 working biceps
5 reps of 12 working triceps
5 reps of as many crunches i can do.

I am going to switch it up, so i can work a different group of muscles everyday, but first i want to lose the fat.

Now, what ive heard is the best way to lost weight is to workout and boost your metabolism.
Now, im currently working out, but i am not sure about my metabolism and if its fast enough.

To get it to its full burning potential, should i eat 5 -6 meals a day?

Wake up, bowl of cereal
drink water through this time
2-3 hours later another bowl
water
lunch
water
small nutritous snack (fruits, veggies etc..)
water
dinner
water
small snack before 6-7 pm.

Does this sound like the right thing?

also, is there anyway to lose weight in your face? i have slightly chubby cheeks and id like to have a more "firm" look.

loosing weight is not the same as loosing fat. You can achieve a slimmer face by dropping your bodyfat.

Rep=Repititions=how many times you do the motion in one...
set.=the breakup of your reps, seperated by rest periods.

"I repped 150 lbs ten times for three sets."

Your workout is too huge. Drop the reps to about 8-12 and the sets to three and you'll see better development.

Your diet is key to loosing fat, and what you described is far too general. I can only assume you're not getting enough nutrition. What you need is quality foods and a slight caloric deficit.

You're right, eating several small meals throughout the day keeps your metabolism running, and exercise will give you a boost. You've got the idea, now I encourage you to get the details so you can be more efficient.

Should i just stick to healthy cereal (special K, Total) fruits and veggies some protein (chicken, etc...) only drink water, and keep working out? because i want to lose this weight..

I recommend eating instant oatmeal, nonsweetened and nonflavored. It's the best cereal there is, no sugar, no sodium. You can add fruit to it and protein powder. Special K and Total are not considered healthy cereals.
:)

ok, well that would be one breakfast, what else could i eat though? I mean just oatmeal isnt a lot of nutrients. but id have to balance it out like that for awhile to lose all the weight i want to lose, any other suggestions for snacks a lunch and a dinner?
