It might not be a matter of excercising or not but more an issue of how you excercise and what excercises you do for your specific goals and needs. Have you tried doing a search on the net for information about scoliosis and excercise?... If you are in the dark about this...I'd research and if you have good access to the net then don't delay. If you have the money (or insurance as it goes these days) how about consulting a holistic physican or someone medical like a physiatrist perhaps. There are also all kinds of excerices depending on the path or discipline you choose. Lots of people have taken up yoga for scoliosis (or related) and a myriad of other things for example. It can also be a matter of looking at your body fat first (diet, fitness, stress, etc) and make sure you're not thinking spot reduction. It might also help to find also discussion boards that deal with scoliosis...pick one that looks active;questions are recent and answered more often than not and in a reasonable length of time. You can also try fitness or similar sites and do a search for "scoliosis" or "back" or "spine".
