UmmStarbucks Venti Iced White Mocha....

Thanks txsqlchick!
Sorry to hear about the BF again, but long-term it will be better to find someone who pays better attention to you anyway. Dont worry about things, they always seem to work out in the long-run. :) I've been reading your blog, you seem like a pretty cool person, with a level head and a good sense of humor :)

PaperAirPlanes yea the Wii is great! That thing beats me down with the yoga. I'm glad it dosent have a camera, because it would be funny to see my on screen doing some of those poses. I dont think many of them are really designed for my 6'3" frame (And the excess baggage currently certinatly dosent help). But I like it because it's fun and changes thins up a bit.

Calories today we're a bit on the high side as I had a Venti Iced White Mocha, but it was a treat for myself. Total cal today we're in the 2300 cal rane, so I pushed my self at the gym for a bit longer to try to even it out. Did 80 minutes cardio on the Elicptical (I whish they had a treadmil) for 1158 calories burned, and then did an hour of strength on the circuit. I like this 24-hour loop as it's right around the cornor from my house, but I wish it was a full gym, like the others, but there at least 20 minutes away by car, and not practical at 11:30pm at night.

However the 30 lb total loss is a nice number to be at, so one Venti Iced White Mocha won't hurt...

Man today just dragged on and on at work. Nothing like hearing a bunch of developers squabble at 15 different ways to do the same thing for three hours. Uggh....

Total calories today was around 2300 or so. I did a walk at lunch, 30 minutes on the Wii fit, and the 40 minutes in cardio, and I changed things up a bit and spent more time doing strength than cardio today. so pretty good day caloric wise.

Are my eyes deceiving or did you drop another couple on the ticker? Coulda sworn you were at 30 a day or 2 ago. Nice job anyway. You are incredibly consistent.

good to see you're still enjoying using the wii. and bravo on another 2 lbs down. Sorry you had such a long day at work, makes me glad I stay at home. :D no 3 hour squabbles other than what to make for dinner. :D
Hope you have a better day at work tomorrow.
Take care

Your eyes do not deceive you :) Although it's probally just normal body flux. I still had to lower the ticker :). I've been good so far with the gym and getting more active (As sitting on my butt in front of a somputer for 10+ hours a day kills the body). My thing I really need to work on is changing my diet. I've done little things, like cutting out most of the mocas and reducing my lunch portions way down, but I still eat to much at dinner. So I have a feeling I'll reach a certain point were the loss will slow donw and then I'll have to change up the diet. I do have much more energy at the gym now though, which is cool.

Cavoso Nuovo, Italy Thats sound pretty cool! My wife was a military brat and lived in Naples, Italy for about 4 years when she was a teen and always wants to go back. She says it's a different tone of life, and I also think she misses the closeness of military families with one another, where as here you hardley even know your neighbor. Oh, and your new ink is beautiful! As are you two kids! Im glad I had my two early in life as well, as it's really cool now that I can almost head to the bar with my son, and people think he's my brother :)

Italy is deffinately a different tone of life. I'm really glad we got stationed out here. Though the whole language barrier is killing me!I'm hoping as my kids get older we'll be able to do things together like that. My mom had me and my sister at about the same age I had my 2 kids, so I can hope. :D it was always a blast going out to play pool or go dancing and have someone ask what my "sister" wanted to drink.
Hope you're having a good day!
take care

Don't sell yourself short. 2 lbs is 2 lbs. I find that when I see a loss, even if I think it might be normal flux, I latch onto it and it becomes a motivator to keep trying.

I had my kids young in life also, I'm 43 now and my kids are 21 and 19 (in 2 weeks). I keep hoping this means my wife and I will eventually be able to do some traveling etc. by ourselves, but with the college bills...

Oh the college bills, I can totally relate. My son is 20 (Im 38) and his first two years at CalPoly we're almost 40K. And he still has two years left to go. Needless to say the student loans are in full swing, and we're trying to pay as much of it as we can every month, but it's tough. Then there is my daughter who is 15 and only has 3.5 years till we start all over again. We might get lucky with my daughter though as she wants to goto the UC which is only 30 minutes from here, so that would save a ton of cash.

Yup, My eldest is going to a local college for teaching, and commuting. My younger child is going for environmental science/biology at U'maine Machias, which is about 350 miles away and costing us (net cost, after scholarships, her loans and awards) about 15K per year. Between the 2 we're doing around 20K/year right now, and that will only go up each year. Add the major loan institutions going belly up and it's pretty scary.

See we get to live in the world of "middle Class". We make "too much" to qualify for any kind of real financial aid, but not enough to actually pay for it out of pocket...

Yea, I'm in the same boat, I make too much money for any aid, yet I live in one of the the pricest county in the country (Marin, CA), in a small house that for what I have to pay would be a very nice place in most other parts of the country, take that into consideration with the high cost of everything around here and it becomes... uggh.
Karl, your ticker still makes me jelious. I cant wait till mine says -70 down!

Had a marginal food wise day, it was a team lunch at a Chinese food place, and I stayed with the tofu beef noodles. It was ok, but Im not a big fan of tofu unless it's really fresh and cooked well. This place was neither. Total calories for the day was in the 2300 range. I just got back from the gym, with 75 minutes on the Eliciptical (-1189 cal) and about 35 minutes strength. I also did an hour of the Wii fit this morning, and I think thoses yoga poses killed me more than anything. I'll probally sleep for 10 hours tonight :)

Going to a concert with the wife and daughter tomorrow (3rd Eye Blind) thats at a local lake here which should be cool.
Oh, btw how long have you been in Italy? I heard the language thing gets easier as the Italians are very hand expressive over time. Oh, and I have to figure out someting to call you as "Airmanwifey819" seems kind of funny to say hello to :)

Have a great day you guys!

wow, you're braver than me. you couldn't pay me to eat tofu. I've had it cooked so many different ways(my step mom is a terror in the kitchen) and I can't stand it. ugh.
Have fun at the concert! I'm a Third Eye Blind fan, so I'm jealous of course. :drool5:

I've been in Italy for almost a year now. and yes, Italians use their hands a LOT when they're talking, unfortunately it's generally just waving around so it doesn't help decipher what they're saying. now if I can find an Italian that's fluent in sign language I'll be set(been doing sign since 2nd grade :D). Oh, and my name is Shandy by the way. less of a mouthfull(or handfull seeing as we're typing not talking) than my username.
Ciao! (about the only Italian I know. hehehe)

So the concert was pretty cool. It was a fund raiser for the local schools and it was at a county park, so it was way different than a normal concert. For one you got to bring in your own lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers, and there was no security check. The stage was right up on the grass and your we're inches away from the bands. It was really pretty cool, though it was a hot day at 92 degrees but it colled into the high 70's around 6:45 or so. Bad thing about this concert was that there was really no healthy food, and being that hot I driank a ton of gatorade, and perhaps a few frozen margaritas as well, along with some really really good bbq. probally in the 300 caloriae range that day, and I was exhausted when I got home and didnt make it to the gym. But what the hell, I'll cetch back up in another week or so. Today was not so bad, I was pretty thurstay and had about 6 diet pepsi max's, a plate of turkey speghetti, some bluberry pancakes and eggs for breakfast, and a Cliff bar. so around 2300 today. Hit the gym for 80 minutes of cardio (-1234 calories and almost 6 miles tonight :) and then another 40 minutes of strength (I dont know how much calories that burns off though, I'll have to figure it out). I didn't weigh myself, and I'll hold off untill Wednesday to try to make up for yesterday :)

Hey there!
glad you enjoyed yourself at the concert. it sucks that they didn't have a lot of healthy food options for you, but you don't have to eat perfectly everyday. and you've definately picked right back up with your workouts. if you find out how much calories get burned during weight training, be sure to let me know! I've never been able to find a good number for that.
Hope you're having a good day today!
Take care

Thanks.
So I got on the scale, and whew I was still down about 1.5 lbs so thats good. I was worried it would go up by 2-3lbs. Monday was pretty good, I had about 2400 calories and burned 1136 on cardio and another 25 minutes of strength training. Today I had:
Half of a Roasted Turkey sandwch for lunch (Will have the other half tomorrow). 480 calories. Venti Iced Whit Moca, nonfat milk 495 calories
Dinner was chicken and tator tots, 1125 cal or so. Total cal :2100
Going to the gym in about 15 minutes :)

Greg, let me quote "perhaps a few frozen margaritas", you mean you weren't really sure but maybe just a few just happend to come your way.... LOL

BTW, did you mean 3000 calorie range? :D

Sounds like it was a good time!! and no harm done right? It's all good!

just stopping in to see how you're doing. looks like you're doing great with the workouts, as usual. bravo. :) congrats on not gaining from the concert! bet that made your day.
Hope you're having a good day!
take care
