Um about this excerise....

im currently doing dumbells, but i cant decide


is there a difference from actually moving or just holding up the weights.

ie, when u bisep curl, u move up and down... but what about just holding weights dead in the air or in position.... does that give the same results? better ? worse?
 
No it doesn't give you the same results...

What exercises the muscles mainly (not the only way however) is muscle contraction, or the upward motion in a curl.
