today is 2/14/2010......i am 21 years old, 5'9 242.5 lbs....the heaviest i ever been

my goal will be 200 lbs.....by june 1

my main problems: dont exercise enough, drink to much pop, beer an whiskey, and eat to much fast food...plus junk food in general

i dont know how to kick this junk food habit...i love apples, grapes, bananas, grilled chicken....but i love cheeseburgers and french fries alot more

anyway if you feel like droppin me some motivation go ahead.....as i said in my intro post im really fillin out my size 38 work pant:banghead:

wish me luck...bout to go throw the rest of these pepsis away, or give them away

edit: i will be adding my weights each week in this original post so its easier to keep track of

Starting weight, 02/14/2010- 242.5 lbs
Week 1 weight, 02/21/2010- 233.5 lbs (9 lbs lost)
Week 2 weight, 02/28/2010- 230 lbs (3 lbs lost)
Week 3 weight, 03/08/2010- 229 lbs (1 lb lost)
Week 4 weight, 03/15/2010- 227 lbs (2 lbs lost)
Week 5 weight, 03/22/2010-
Week 6 weight, 03/29/2010-
Week 7 weight, 04/05/2010-

i have been doing good except 1 slip up yesterday, taco bell....i feel like a drug addict the way i crave junk food'

i have already lost the waterweight, not so bloated....about 237 pounds but i know thats not really accurate
 
What does your normal diet and exrcise look like and what is your plan for reaching your goal ?
 
Congrats on the new way of life !!! Kickin the junk food habit is HARD ... But you can do it! If its just the convience of the fast food places, try to grilled chicken that you said you liked. If its just the fast food try not even stopping at them .. Soon you will forget they are even there. Keep up the great work !

the past year my diet has been fast food, junk food, soda pop, and not much exercise

i have alot of trouble fighting my fast food cravings


this past week i have been counting my calories...completely cut out soda pop and am only drinking water...TRYING to cut out the fast food but slipped up today and went to taco bell

i buy healthier foods...fruits, grilled chicken, protein shakes, yogurt, skim milk, peanut butter on wheat bread is one of my favorite foods...i know its high in calories though

also i will start doing sprints once the weather clears up....cant afford a gym right now

Congrats on not going to kfc !!! Dont give in to the fast food demons LOL .. Im right there with ya .... how about this .... I will give up fast food for as long as you do .... We are in it together :)

i almost gave in and went but i didnt...i came home and ate cheerios...i probly ate to many but its still better then KFC

what part of indiana you live in? im in indianapolis
 
I didnt even realize u were from indy !! Im from Orleans .. but im in germany at the moment .. hubby is stationed over here so .. i followed lol. You might have heard of paoli peaks .. its kind of a big deal ski place .. orleans is the town next to it ...TINY town .. only one stop light lol.

AWESOME job on not giving in !!! I did have a grilled chicken sandwich from Burger King .. but that was for lunch before I made the deal with you LOL ... so .. NO FAST FOOD lol. We can do it !!
 
never heard of either of them lol

same thing today, still fighting the cravings but didnt give in

had a bowl of cheerios for breakfast with skim milk

1 piece of grilled chicken for lunch with a diet coke

i wish i could kick the pop habit completely to but i dont know if i can...i switched to diet atleast

also last night my buddy tried to get me to go to his house to drink.....i wanted to but thats way to many empty calories, and i didnt go at all cuz id be tempted to drink
 
Hi! I'm totally with ya on the drinking thing.. that is sooo hard, especially when that is what you do when you hang out with friends... I switched to vodka tonics cause they are the least in calories.. like 60... The fast food thing is especially hard cause it is such instant gratification, and the ads on tv are relentless... Hide the car keys! Keep at it... it gets easier, right?

the commercials are torture....pizza and burgers and chicken fingers
 
went to the grocery and spent way to much money...but i bought alot of good stuff

its almost all low calories......got alot of protein bars and shakes...hoping i can really do this

didnt buy any junk food at all and i will not fold and eat any fast food....i saw a quote in another thread by another member, im not sure who it was but it has been sticking in my head

something like "id love to go get some fast food right now, but id love even more to see the numbers on the scale drop"

so thanks to whoever said that

OMG cant beleive i even said that :) Hubby and I went grocery shoppin too the other day and spent over 100 dollars and we pretty much just got fruit LOL ... we are really into fruit right now. It feels good to have good for you things in the house .. dont ya think ?

I TOTALLY agree with that quote .... as much as I LOVE food. . I love the numbers going down MORE :)

i had grapes and a protein shake.....the key for me is packing my lunch

for the longest time i didnt pack a lunch at all so i forced myself to eat out...very stupid on my part but thats changing

YAY !!! I actually clapped out loud when I read this !!!! Thats so awesome !! You not giving in is an inspriation for me not to give in :) Congrats !!!!
 
well i said monday will be my weigh in day every week

i just got on the scale, 8 days after starting

233.5

now im happy about it, 9 pounds in 8 days, but i know that the first week or 2 it just falls off...i think its the water weight or something

but still it feels good

my goal for next monday : 228 pounds
 
ive been having pretty bad cravings tonight so ive probly snacked a little to much, BUT everything i snacked on was healthy and much better then potato chips or ice cream
