Hi All,

In the last couple of weeks Ive decided that im going to finally tackle my weight issue- Im about 210lbs and only 5'2''. Im not sure of my exact weight coz my scales is a bit dodgy (gave me a reading of 3lbs when there was nothing on it!!!!) so Im going to use one of those supermarket machines to check. Ive been doing pretty good at cutting down on the junk and snacks and doing a little walking.

Long may it last!!

tryingtotrim... Good luck hun! I'm sure that you can manage to get the weight off... its going to be hard work but i have faith in you. :)#

Maybe you should invest in a better pair of scales?

Well. yesterdays food went pretty well:

Breakfast: Fruit and fibre cereal with skimmed milk, pineapple juice
Snack: Special K bar
Lunch: Veg stir-fry with rice
Snack: Small apple, 4 pishachio nuts
Dinner: Ham omlette, salad
Snack: Small slice brown bread with sugar-free jam

Pretty happy with that. Gonna blitz up some homemade soup today. mmmmmm!

Wow TTT, your meals look absolutely perfect for your weight loss plan. Good job! And welcome to the forum :).

So todays food:

Breakfast: 2 slices brown bread and sugar free jam
Lunch: Homemade soup and 2 slices bread
Dinner: Prawn chow mein
Snacks: Slice ham, slice bread and sugar free jam
Drinks: 4 vodka and diet coke

I shouldnt have had the drink but i dont really drink that often so hopefully wont make too much difference. Also went shopping today so had a bit of a walk around town. Bought new trousers- didnt get the bigger size coz they're not going to fit for long- and for once wasnt too upset that things were on the tight size!

Another good job! No problem with the drinks, I mean you made the best possible choice with the vodka (aside from wine maybe) especially mixing it with the diet coke.

So heres todays food:

breakfast: 2 slices toast and sugar free jam
lunch: sandwich made with toast, light mayo, beetroot and ham; low fat yoghurt
dinner: grilled chicken, mixed veg, potatoe, gravy
snacks: grapes

i might have some popcorn later too. Not too bad I guess for a very lazy day!

Thanks Pinky, hope you had a good day too!!

Today was pretty good:

Breakfast: 2 slices toast with sugar free jam
Lunch: Veg soup and brown bread
Dinner: Homemade spag bol with bunalung sauce
Snacks: Banana

Will prob have popcorn later (although I didnt last night after so we'll see!).
I went for hours walk too which was great.

Weighted myself at one of those machines in a chemist. Says Im heavier than i was 2 weeks ago BUT I had had both breakfast and lunch and was wearing clobby runners. At least its a baseline to work from I guess.
i probably need to invest in a good set of scales for home but I dont want to have another thing to cart when I move house next week!

Hey!

Well yesterday wasnt too bad.

Breakfast: Fruit'n'Fibre, OJ
Lunch: Ham salad sambo, snack pack of apricots
Dinner: Veggie stir-fry with rice and kidney beans
Snack: Special K bar

Didnt get to do any exercise but was packing up my room for moving at the weekend so was on the go all evening.
Worked out I should probably b eating around 1700-1800 calories a day. Reckon Im probably more-or-less on track for that.

Going to a friends for dinner this evening. Will have to eat what Im given so Im really hoping she makes something half decent!

Well yesterday wasnt too good. :( It was my first bad day since I started I suppose but Im still disappointed. Was very 'snacky' during the day and even though I had healthy stuff (fruit, crackers, cereal bar) it was probably too much. Then I went to my friends house for dinner- the meal itself was ok (chicken caserole) but she had cake after. I ate it partially coz I wanted it and partially coz I was too embarrased to say Im trying to change the way I eat. They are used to me loving my sweet stuff so when I tried to say no they were having none of it and I couldnt bring myself to explain.
Hopefully today will be a lot better. Its new to me to get back on the healthy buzz straight away after a day like that- I usually use it as an excuse. But not this time- gonna get straight back to healthier ways. Fingers xd.

Awh hun (hug) Don't worry about it... we all have bad days. All that matters is that we get back onto the wagon and keep going... instead of just jumping off it completely! I've done that so many times. hehe Hope that today is going better for you. :) x x

Well yesterday went much better!

Breakfast: Bowl fruit and fibre with skimmed milk, apple juice
Snack: Special K bar
Lunch: 4 multigrain ryvetas spread with mixture of tuna, cherry tomatoes and philadelphia light (mmmmmmmmmm!), fruit salad
Dinner: Low fat noodles, cherry tomatoes, 2 slices cooked ham
Snacks: Banana, nectarine, 5 pistachio nuts

Despite running around like a blue arsed fly all evening I managed to get a walk in too. Really pleased with myself! :newangel:

I used to go to swing dance classes last year but I had to stop coz of college work  and then I didnt want to go back coz I had put on weight and was self-conscious. But I think I might go back next week. Feck it, no one knows me so why would they care what I look like and its a really fun way to get in some exercise.

Put on trousers this morning that I hadnt worn in a while. They aint tight at all. Unfortunately I cant remember if they were tight to begin with (!!!!) but I think they probably were coz I would probably have lived in them if they werent. Nice to put on something comfy.

Another fairly ok day food wise but didnt get as much chance to exercise. Im moving house today so will be on my feet all day so not going to be too worried about yesterday!

Breakfast: Apple, Fruit'n'Fibre with skimmed milk, apple juice
Lunch: Tuna/Tomatoe/Philadelphia Light on multigrain bagel, nectarine
Snack: Special K bar
Dinner: Chicken stirfry with brown rice
Snack: Popcorn

Another pretty good day yesterday. Was moving so lots of lugging bags around. Plus got walk in too.

Breakfast: 2 x polish bread with sugar free jam, glass super milk
Lunch: Pasta with tomatoe sauce, salad , no dressing
Dinner: Chicken stir fry with brown rice, 1 x bread with scraping low fat spread
Drinks : 3.5 white wine spritzer

Pretty happy!

Plus today jeans that were DEFINATELY tight before were comfie! Yipee!

Hey last few days Ive been doing fine. Managing the food and actually getting in some walking. The winteryness we're getting here is helping I think. I really like walking when its crisp outside! So as long as it doesnt start raining im sorted!!

Was really really craving something naughty yesterday but managed to make do with a cereal bar. Not at all like me so Im quite proud!
