Trying to reach 6 pack abs goal, please help me out

Hey all, names scott, ill admit im not in the "fittest"shape, but im not in the worst, id call myself normal...im starting school in a few days, and i really wanna start working out, i'm not ONLY concered about just my abs, but it is a really important spot i want to hit up...I heard that there are foods that help out certain parts of the body, but i dont know that for sure...anyways, I'm just looking for some tips on how i can achieve to lose some body fat since it's impossible to lose body fat from just one point, maybe give me a good ruitine to follow, because im a committed type of person. I used to be in a level 6 gym, it's the highest level, there i was at my highest fitness level running 2 -6 miles every other day, but now that it's over i need my own plan...so please if you could maybe just help me out with some ideas how to lose some body fat, gain strength and eat the right foods, i would appreciate it so very much thank you all !!!:)
 
You are correct in that you can't reduce fat in one particular area.

What is a level 6 gym and why aren't you there anymore?

If you were into running, then get up and go run, you don't need a gym membership to do that. As for weights, each person's program varies greatly depending on several factors, so there is no one program of "just do these exercises this many times on these days". As for diet, well, that also depends on your personal goals, caloric needs, etc. So no one can tell you to "just eat this..."

In general, cut out all the junk, drink more water, eat whole grains (instead of white bread, white rice, white pasta, etc), eat lots of fruits and veggies, get good sources of fat (olive oil, nuts), get lean protein (meaning chicken instead of burgers, etc), and lowfat dairy.

thanx, level 6 gym was over because school was over, im still in school, but anyways, yeah im going to start cutting out any junk big time and having more water for sure, i appreciate you helpin me out here, i have this page added to my favorites so i can just keep lookin back it it, so if even anyone else has something to share id appreciate that too !:)
 
Progress

today was a totally healthy day and im so proud of myself...

When i would workout i would used snag a few snacks here and there have a few sodas, but today i only had water to drink,,,apples,,, pickles,,, chilli,,,salad, nothing bad to eat at all :)

also ran 2 1/2 miles did some crunches ,russian twists, up downs in outs for my abs... feelin good :D :D ;)
