Trying to lose 40lbs

Oh no! That smoothie sounds awful, and something very sad to miss :(

Have you considered going vegan with your wife?

I tried a few years ago and lasted a few months...I don't know how people do it!! LOL

Eventually I want to. I've been with her for seven years and she never gets sick -- not once have I seen her catch even a cold.
 
Day #5
Dinner
1. Lentils and chicken cooked together with garlic.
2. Spinach blended with salva.

Still just drinking water.
 
Day #6
1. Two cooked eggs.
2. Spinach, carrot, romaine lettuce blended with salva and water.
3. Lentils with sardines on the side.

Woke up with a bit of a headache, but once I had a little caffeine I was fine.

I'm going to enjoy my "cheat" day tomorrow, but I'm not going to go crazy. Weigh-in will be first thing in the morning, on Saturdays when I wake up.
 
Day #6
1. Salmon and one egg made into a patty.
2. Lentils mixed with carrots and broccoli
3. spinach and lettuce salad.
 
Day #7 WEIGH IN

221.4 lbs.

Last Sunday it was 227.8 lbs.

Thats a difference of 6.4 lbs. I'm going to say that at least 4 of that is water weight. It's first thing in the morning and I have not drank any water all night. I will be jumping on the scale again next saturday at the same time, so that there is some consistency.

I'm going to get my bodyfat tested at the end of 30 days. I really wish I had done that last weekend -- it would have been great as a "before and after".

The only exercise i've been doing is an approximately 2 mile walk every day with the dog. Sooner or later I will have to bring in some resistance training, but that will be very mild and in the form of Bikram Yoga.

Cheat Day
1. Two eggs
2. banana, blueberries, blackberries, orange, spinach, lettuce blended together with salva and water.
3. Big bowl of grapenuts.
4. Peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat bread.

Your diet is AMAZING! You're really sticking to a good, healthy, clean diet!! I might have to take some of your meals for myself :)

Thanks Tik:) I have a feeling a lot of it is water, but it was nice to see the scale results this morning. I think I will have a better idea where I am at next Saturday.
 
Cheat day
Dinner.
1. Salmon mixed with egg into one burger between two slices of wheat bread. Ketchup on the side.
2. spinach, strawberries and carrot blended with salva and water.

The dog walk was only a mile long today.

Actually, kind of glad the cheat day is about over. Feeling bloated after eating that submarine sandwich.

2. Lentils with some vegetables mixed in.
3. Spinach and lettuce salad with a light garlic dressing.

2 mile walk with the wife and our pet dog at 4pm.

You're doing great!
I love how wonderful your diet is! It sounds absolutely delicious!
