Trying to build a better body

I've been on both bases, my ex husband was in the navy that's how we met, we were both so young. But it lasted 10 years, not bad I got two great kids out of it. I'll have to go on Beth's diary and check it out. I hope your move is not to bad and you are able to find everything after all is said and done. :)

I heard Tennessee had a great night life.

We had a blast in Downtown Nashville! Went on a "Pub Crawl" Nashville style! Heading back out there in September to enjoy it all over again!! :) Seriously, it's a lot of fun! You heading out there sometime?? Let us know, we'll point you in some fun directions! :)

OMG.. I so glad that the weekend has finally come to a close. We are all done with our move and even though I worked up my appetite and ate like I had one, I still managed to stay at or around 186 lbs.

Still very unorganized at the house and still have a lot of things to go throug before getting back to a normal and smooth routine BUT, I am hitting the gym tonight even as sore and tired as I am. Maybe it'll work some of the kinks out!

All through the weekend I kept thinking that I should be doing dealifts and squats more often.. my legs are seriously sore!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Bruce

Hee hee, yeah I know how it is--I don't care what some people say, new workouts we're not used to shock our bodies! Glad you're done, nice post in your wife's thread :)

Morning Bruce, glad the move is over with and here's to a normalcy returning.

And yes, you should be squatting and DLing. :D

This move was rough.. even though we had movers move the heavy items and furniture on Saturday, we moved over all the boxes and other "Crap" on Friday with the help of Beth's 2 brothers and Dad.

She deserved the "Kudo's".. seriously.. I had a hard time keeping up with her or making her stop and take a break! Once she gets in "Mode".. it's hard to wind her down. You have to physically remove the wind up key! LOL :D

Man Steve... My quads hurt so much from lifting all those boxes of crap. Especially the ones marked "CDs" and "Books" LOL I should look before I lift!

Somewhat still in a state of chaos around the house this morning.. but tonight.. I am setting up the electronics and getting the stereo fully hooked up and ready to go! :)

Hava good one!! :)

Bruce, have you been to Tootsie's Orchid Lounge yet? If not, you absolutely have to go there. It's practically the birthplace of country music.

I'm glad to see your done with the move! It will take at least a month to get things in some what of an order. It took me several months to unpack all my boxes, I just lived out of them for a short time. You probably burned a lot of calories during that move also with all the lifting and walking you did. I'm glad your back and ready to go!! Keep it up
Kim

Tom.. that place is great!! We did the "Pub Crawl" Nashville style.. in the front, out the back, in the back, out the front.. all the way down the street! It was so much fun!! Heard some really great music as well.. even the sidewalk muscians were fantastic!! :)

Hi Kim... yeah.. I know what you're saying about living out of boxes for awhile. I can't even remember how many times I moved while in the Navy.. thought I was use to it.. BUT, no.. I'm not! I honestly think we burned a lot more calories this past weekend than we think.. might need to go into the Moving business and get my daily workout that way!! :D

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Bruce

I wish.....not enough time off work to go there....my vacation this year is probably being spent in Cali--that's ok, a vacation is a vacation!

Well, it's getting late in the day and I am finally writing in my diary. Yesterday was my first day back in the gym after the move. Felt really good to be back in there and get back to lifting again. Not like I missed out on any lifting during the move! :)

Getting a lot of comments about how much skinnier I look, especially in the face! BUT, my weight is holding strong at 185ish. To me, I look like I am gaining muscle mass but to everyone else, I'm getting skinny. Oh well... I'll just continue on and see what happens at the 6 week period.

Hope this finds all my friends well!

Bruce

Man, I can't wait for the day when my goal is to bulk up a bit. Hope you're still on the forum July of next year, so I can get some tips from you.

Hey Tom.. I'll more than likely be here! Steve gave me some great tips and will be glad to pass them along. Who knows.. maybe by then, I'll become the junior guru to Steve! LMAO

Yeah, by next year, hopefully a whole bunch of us will be at our target weights and trying to put on some muscle -- well, the guys, at least!

I want to put on muscle, too!!! I can stand to put on some more without feeling too muscly. It would be really nice to beat a dude at arm-wrestling someday.

Hi Brucie!
