Trying to build a better body

GREAT JOB on the BACKYARD for starters, I love what you two did, It looks GREAT! Secondly, OH yeah I can see a difference in your pictures, your big chest looks lifted to me, it's all moving up, and you look wider across the shoulder area. I'm wondering if you did most your yard work without a shirt as you look rather burned my friend, OUCH! or is that redness from Beth mauling you to death. LOL LOL Your doing a great job!! Keep up the good work.

Following Kim's lead.. I am going to post some pictures.. the first one is my first shot back in April, the next one is from June and the last ones are from last Saturday morning. I don't think that the pictures do me much justice.. I actually think I am much bigger and cut up now than the picture represents.. but that's just me. beth is a better judge on how I actually look now.

Well here goes nothing:

He's right, the pics do not do him justice! You can really see the definition and muscles (whoo hoo! ;) ) much better in person. You can really see the changes that just don't reflect in the pictures! You are looking, oh, so FINE! :)

LOL... you're too funny!! :rotflmao: But, actually.. the redness came from friday when I was washing/waxing my car without my shirt on. Saturday I kept it on because I was a little burned... but I like the mauling thought.. Hear that Beth???? ;)

Cough, Cough.. damn it's dusty in here!!! Well, thought I should post something so people remember who the hell I am!!

Let's see.. I am maintaining my weight.. not really going up, not really going down. Just the basic fluctuation in weight. I go up, I drop the weight, I go down, I gain it right back. Honestly I think that I am still losing the fat but gaining the muscle at the same time.

I have changed around my routine again. Instead of doing the Full Body routine I have been doing.. I went back to the split routine and I am working Chest/Back/Abs on Monday, Arms (Biceps/Triceps/Forearms)/Abs on Wednesday, Shoulders/Legs/Abs on Friday and the the Full Body routine on Saturday. I felt like I needed to stimulate/change it all up to get the most out of my lifts. I am also doing 30 minutes on the elliptical after each workout. So, we'll see what comes from this. Beth is getting hotter by the day.. need to keep up with her!

It was great to finally meet ol' Tom. Really looking forward to some future bike rides with him! Great guy.. just like on here!

Hope this finds everyone in great spirits and feeling healthy!!!

Ya'll take care!

Bruce?????? He LIVES!! WOW, I thought I was seeing things when your diary showed up with a post today. LOL LOL I'm so happy both you and Beth are working so hard and doing it together!! I feel for Beth and her headaches damn it, that just sucks!! I'm also jealous that you two got to meet TOM, he is such a wonderful inspiration to all of us on here. I hope you guys get to meet up again soon and take that bike ride, that would be a blast! I'm sure you two have tons of stuff going on this weekend as always. Enjoy every minute of it. Good to see your switching things up on the exercise front. Good luck!! Later gator!

Guess Who???

Well, I decided to check in, dust things off and see what was up with all the peoples in here! Been really busy lately around work, at home and normal summer things. Seems like it never ends!

I've been managing to get in the gym and keep the lifting and normal regime up and running as usual. I am up about 5 pounds from where I want my top end weight to be. I'd like to stay around 185 to 190 pounds but pushing the envelope around 195 now. BUT, I honestly believe it's muscle mass or water weight.. or both. I am getting a lot bigger than I was in those previous pictures and if I can think about it or get around to it.. I'll post some updates to those.

Seriously thinking about increasing my cardio time and initensity in order to lose some fat weight. I started out around 25% body fat back in January and I'm down to about 18% now. So, I feel good about myself and what I've done so far.. just would like to remove some of that spare tire still. This journey never ends!!

Hope everyone is doing well and still on track!! :)

Take care all!!!!

Hey everyone!

Okay, it's a New Year... and I have some work to do! Yes, I put on a few extra pounds that I politely call "Tonnage". Although I didn't weigh as much as I did last year at this time.. actually weighed in this morning at 204 pounds versus last year at 227 pounds!! But, with the help of my wife that I affectionately call my "Nutritional Nazi", I am getting back on track, starting a new diet and back in the gym.

I went on Monday and started really slow, lifting lighter weights and basically getting my muscles back into a regime without getting too sore.

I am going to concentrate on losing the weight and go beyond my goal before I start lifting the weight I was lifting last time. I ended up gaining about 10 pounds of muscle last year but that put me about 10 pounds heavier than where I wanted to be.. so, hitting this year a little smarter and alot healthier!

I hope this finds everyone in good health, good spirits and a renewed vigor towards a better, healthier year!!

Take care!

Bruce

Well HELLO STRANGER!! like I said to Beth, stay on track and keep pushing forward and in NO TIME you'll be right back where you were before the lovely Holiday's came by.

I'm very happy to see that you both are doing well, and you are BOTH starting back at the same time, sure makes it much easier.

I'll check back by in a few to see how your doing. STICK WITH IT!! AND STAY FOCUSED!

Hugs
