Trying to be physically and mentally healthy

Hey everyone,

So im making a new accountability, my other one was all over the place and i ended up having a manic depression attack. It was brutal. But im better now and have made some decisions about my health.

1) No counting calories. It causes to much stress and things change easily and id rather not worry about calorie numbers.

2) Eat! Eat 3 meals and 3 small snacks a day, concentrating as much as I can on healthy food and protein.

3) Workout! I will do pilates 6x a week!

4) Pace. My goal is 20k. I plan to pace 30 mins after waking up, 30 mins before the kids to go school, 45 mins from 11-11:45 and 2-2:45, then from 5-till hubs gets home. Then ill finish after the kids go to bed.

5) Prioritize sleep. I haven't been sleeping well and have been waking up a few times a night and then fully up by 4-4:30. So im gonna teach myself to sleep in more and stay up a bit later.

6) Prioritize yoga πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ twice a day for 10 mins each. This really helps my stiff body from all the pacing.

7) While I still want to lose weight and will weigh myself everyday, im aiming to get strong and healthy both physically and mentally πŸ’ͺ while hopefully losing fat.

So anyway, a little about me, im 37, female, 127.4lbs, my starting weight last year was 150lbs. Im married with 2 kids and a stay-at-home mom πŸ‘©. Back in 2020 I had my first ever manic episode with psychosis (very scary time) and was diagnosed with schizoeffective disorder with depression.

I was put on 3 different medications but have felt like a zombie πŸ§Ÿβ€β™€οΈ for years. I decided last summer to get off meds.

I have weaned off 1 med all together and im almost off another. But, I think ill stay on abilify for my bipolar. I vape cbd to manage depression and fibromyalgia.

Ill be posting fitspo pics. While I dont want to be bulky, I enjoy being inspired by extremely fit women.

Anyway, ill be posting 2x a day, in the morning πŸŒ„ and evening πŸŒƒ.

I ended up going to sleep at 10:30 last night, rather than 9. I did yoga and paced to stay awake, then I hung out with my hubs for about 10-15 mins, then went to bed.

I only woke up once at 2ish but fell right back asleep till 5. Actual sleep was only just over 6 hrs, so ill need a nap but I feel better sleeping in a bit.

So anyway, waked and baked (I dont get high from cbd, I just like to say wake and bake lol) then had a shower. Fed my 🐈 🐈 🐈 , had a caffeine pill and started pacing. I started pacing a bit earlier than I wanted, so Ill be pacing for 45 mins. Then ill snuggle with 🐻 (my 🐢) for a bit before hubs gets up.

I lost weight! 126.2! Yay ☺️

Im excited to workout today. I just started weights yesterday, and i started with legs. Today is a push day, chest, shoulders and triceps.

Here is my food plan today

Brekky- nutella and coconut πŸ₯₯ flakes overnight oats
Snack- fruit smoothie and oat bar πŸ˜‹
Lunch- scrambled eggs πŸ₯š with cottage cheese πŸ§€ and half a bagel πŸ₯― with butter
Snack- yogurt and 1/2 a banana
Supper- bbq chicken leg πŸ—, mashed potatoes πŸ₯” and corn 🌽.
5:30- time for my oats!!

6am now, time to sit with 🐻. My oats were scrumptious πŸ˜‹.

Hubs got up at 6:30, so I got ready for the day.

Woke the kids up at 7 and got them ready for the day.

Hubs left for work and I packed backpacks πŸŽ’. Its currently 8:15 and ive been pacing since 8.

Took the kids to school, got 🍌 from the store for muffins later, then took 🐻 for a walk. It's been sooooo long since we've been out. Around Xmas. I got sick for like a month, then we had a cold front for about 2 weeks then I fell into a depression πŸ«₯. So ya, its nice again and im finally feeling better, so its time to get back to walks.

I played fetch with 🐻 in the house to keep him active and in shape

The walk was super nice. Came home and had a fruit smoothie and a mint chocolate chip protein bar i picked up from the store. It was ok. My fruit smoothie was really good tho.

Then I baked muffins. I messed up mixing the ingredients so hopefully they will taste OK lol. Then I did dishes.

Now its workout time!

Folded laundry and made my bed, had a hoot (cbd) and now im pacing. Ill pace till 11:45 then make lunch!

I slept really well! I fell asleep on the couch, woke up at midnight, went to bed, woke up at 4:30 and went back to sleep till 5:15! I got a 7hr sleep! Hooray πŸ€—

So i got up, had a shower, had a cbd hoot, had a caffeine pill, got breakfast ready and started pacing. Today I had a πŸ₯― with nutella, mmm so yummers.

Paced till 6:30 when my husband got up so I got ready for the day. Had another hoot then woke up the kids and fed them. Then something happened that really pissed me off and now im really grumpy 😠. Can't wait for school.

Back home, its too windy to take 🐻 out for a walk so I got to work on some chores.

Once that was done, then I did a new workout. I cant do pilates legs, lying down hurts my hips too much so I found a treadmill workout! Ill attach pics of it. My goodness what a good workout!! I wore ankle weights too, and I loved 😍 it! I did 10 mins.

Tomorrow is pilates arms and abs, which i will use wrist weights. I was doing no equipment pilates but I want to build a little muscle.

Once that was done, I played fetch with bear for a while.

Now its 11am, I had another hoot and now ill be pacing till 11:45.

I had some regular pot while I do my afternoon pacing. Ive been thinking a lot lately about fitness, nutrition and my mental health.

1st off, fitness. I know im back and forth on it. Pilates or weights? I want to do weights, but... my hubs and I agreed pilates is the way to go. He didn't want me using weights at all but I said ill use my wrist weights. He just doesn't like muscle on women lol.

But im bored of pilates. I want to do traditional training. Lifting no more than 7lbs, and eventually that'll become a weight to just maintain muscle.

But I said id do pilates arms, so I will.

2nd my nutrition. I need to make sure I prioritize good nutrition and protein.

3rd, my mental health. I need to focus on being healthy, being fit and getting in shape rather than numbers. My weight and calorie counting to be specific.

I miss eating. I hate restricting myself. Instead, I want to focus on my steps, 22k steps. I have a good system now. I want to focus on strength πŸ’ͺ, getting through 10 mins of pilates arms with weights is tough and I want to focus on the way my body looks.

So ill try to recover from anorexic thoughts. Who cares about my weight and calories, let's focus on fueling my body properly so I can be healthy, physically and mentally.
