Trying again and again

As of January 29th, my goal is to lose about 40 pounds by July. I'm a total noob with this stuff, so I should probably give myself more time.
My main problem is sleepyness and my meds. I'm dead tired all day every day and keeps me being active. And my current medication has made me gain over 20 pounds so far. Seriously, I'd take any other side effect. I've starting drinking a bunch of tea, it helps keep my appetite down and plenty of water (doctors orders.). Also, lots of fruit and vegetables. I try to do a little better each day, and not get too upset with myself when I make a mistake. Thankfully, my family is on board with me, we're all trying to lose weight and be healthier.
 
Even on my period, I've done really well this week, better than I have in years actually.
I'm not sure where it came from. I have a lot more energy this week, it feels great.
I'm taking full advantage of it. Today I was stuck waiting in the dentists office and I thought:
'all this sitting around, I could be jogging right now!'

That's a really, really weird thing for me to think. I'm a sleeper, not a jogger.

But anyway, I'm currently exercising at least 30 min a day and counting calories,
which is something I said I'd never do. Today I even turned down a pizza and went with soup.

I'm always talking about living healthier, planning it, thinking about it, wishing for it,
but never actually getting up and doing it. I just gotta keep up what I'm doing now.
Uh, stay on the wagon? or the horse? is that what it's called?
 
It all starts with the desire to do it. well done on 30 minutes a day! I've never quite managed it every day so well done you!
 
Thank you! Even after a few food mistakes I still lost 2 pounds. I also went to a few doctors and had blood work done, as it turns out, besides the mental issues, I'm totally healthy! I still want to get in shape though!
 
Hello! Congratulations with weight loss. I am new on this site and did not lose anything yet;-) Wish you best of luck! you look very motivated and i am sure you will achieve all of your goals;-)
